Can someone tell me what the typical process is to find out if you are "called" back after auditioning, or if they are not "calling back", how do you find out if you get cast?
do they CALL you on the phone, mail you (probably not) or post the results of the audition somewhere, where you need to go in person to look...
just curious
thanks for the info

When you're called back depends on whoever is doing the casting. I worked as assistant to a (bit-of-a-name) director who would have me set up callbacks at the original audition. The people were told to talk to me, and I gave them times and dates then and there. This saved me hours and hours of telephone time since the actors had to call back and confirm and nothing else could get done because if I wasn't calling out, I was taking calls. Other occasions were just the opposite where everyone (director, writer, producer, me) was putting their two cents into the pot and photos and resumes were debated to death.
Agents are a necessary evil. They know it. Well, the good ones know it. The bad ones say about actors, "There goes 90% of my salary."
