Just saw the matinee. I really, really enjoyed it overall. It feels a bit long even though it ran about 2 hrs and 20 minutes. It also, for me at least, took a good ten to fifteen minutes to get off the ground. But when it did, it was really exceptional.

This is DEFINITELY going to divide audiences. I think it will win the Tony for Best Play although I would still vote for NEXT FALL. Its wildly entertaining and features some great, great acting. I also loved the musical interludes (at this rate, ENRON deserves the Best Score Tony).

Norbert is as strong as usual, bringing a much needed charm to the sleezy role of Skiller. Mazzie is very good and Stephen Kunken deserves a Tony nod.

The direction is pretty brilliant and I thought the eccentric visual flairs worked for the most part. The show definitely is never boring to look at. For that matter, it's hardly ever boring period.

It's really thrilling at times and very gripping and exciting. It did take a while to get going for me and it did feel a bit long but these are minor quibbles regarding a pretty excellent production. It's definitely something fresh and original, which is refreshing to see, especially this season.

***1/2 out of ****

I wonder if the score could get a Tony nomination? It was basically techno/dance music which was certainly not Tony worthy.

sorry totally nit-picky of me but it's Skilling not Skiller

and I really hope this wins the Best Play Tony and that Stephen Kunken gets a Tony nod- such a big fan of his work

Haven't seen it, but am I correct in assuming that it will divide audiences because those who know what really happened with Enron will dislike its historical inaccuracies and distortion of reality, and those who don't know what really happened don't care about the accuracy?

That certainly will be part of it, Barney, but the opening monologue goes into how it's not all based on fact. I think the large divide will come from those who liked the embellishments of the dancing, music, raptors, etc. and those who found them to be gimmicks.

My all time Favorite Tallulah Bankhead Line is---" If Everyone Likes You----Your NOT Interesting". Pretty much sums up my impressions of what people are going to think of this show. I think it will be VERY Interesting! (And, Hopefully, FUN!)

Agree on the score nod. Maybe the nominations will look like:

THE ADDAMS FAMILY
ENRON
FENCES
MEMPHIS
