I've never sat in the mez/rear mez of the Broadway Theater. Can anyone tell me why the front rear mez seats (A-F) are going for the same price as orchestra?
Are they preferable in any way to rear orchestra?

Posted: 8/5/10 at 7:30pmThe front portion of the rear mezzanine seats are pretty decent - you have a nice view of everything. They should not be the same price those as the front mezz and orchestra. The front mezz can be, but once they hit rear mezz in the Broadway theatre, the price should drop. The mid portion of the rear mezz I believe is less expensive and the last few rows are $66 & some odd change. The seats in this section make anyone look small. I sat in the last row for the opening night performance of Promises Promises and Kristin Chenoweth looked like the size of a tater tot...it's pretty high up and far back.

I've seen PROMISES twice - ironically once from the last row in the Mezz and once from the first row in the orchestra.
The back of the Mezz is Faaaaar away, but Kristin Chenoweth can almost pass as the right age of the character from back there. If you squint a little.

Posted: 8/6/10 at 6:43pmThe last row of that mezzanine was the farthest I've ever felt from a stage in my life, and that includes the last row of the highest balcony at the Met.
