I have tickets for Promises Promises for Thursday the 27th and was wondering if Kristin Chenoweth is still out can i get a refund on the tickets. The only reason i want to see this in to see Kristin.
Kristin's name (as well as Sean's) is above the title, thus you may get a refund if she is not in when you attend.

I have ticket for the 27th as well and can't change since I am coming from out of town. At least the other post said that the understudy "nailed it".
For what its worth... Kristin tweeted these yesterday afternoon:
I miss my cast. I miss u guys. I. Miss the show.
You know what's the worst? Not being able to do what you love because of sickness.

On a good note, Sarah Jane Everman (her understudy) is incredible in the show. She sounds (and even looks) like a carbon copy of Kristin.
The report I heard from a friend last night was that Everman is not good - she belts well, but is wooden in her acting. Just as a point of reference.

My friend summed it up a little differently. She said she was blown away by Sarah, and reminded her of Cheno, whereas she didn't enjoy Sean as much. I would recommend seeing the show- Sarah is talented and you may be pleasantly suprised.
SARAH JANE EVERMAN: (Kathy, Orchestra Voice, u/s Fran). Broadway: Shrek (Fiona u/s), The Apple Tree (Eve u/s), Wicked (Glinda u/s), Wonderful Town. Regional: Unlock’d (Belinda, NYMF); Singin’ in the Rain (Kathy Selden). Love to Mom, Dad, Rach and the Nicolosi gang. Romans 8:38.
I guess there is merit to the Chenoweth comparison.

So she IS just like Cheno! Zing!
I love your quick witted response Mildread.
There have only been two times where I had the chance to refund my ticket due to someone being billed above the title being out. One was when Kerry Ellis was out of Wicked. However, for that I think I got the better end of the deal due to the fact that I saw Julie Reiber in the role who was ten times better. And, the other was when Lea Salonga was out of a performance of Les Miserables that I attended. However, I did get to see Nikki Renee Dainal's teriffic Fantine so I am not complaining about that one.
Personally, I am not one to not see a show or refund a ticket due to the fact that an above the title billed lead is out. For all I know, the understudy might be very good and I might be seeing a once in a life time performance.
