I know a lot of people will be unhappy that I'm asking this, but does anyone think there will be a revival in the next few years? It wouldn't surprise me, and I know a lot of people would be very happy.

I thought it was so so. I don't know why all the James Street Players shows are getting Broadway transfers all of a sudden.
I really liked how they made Angel an actual woman, it made the show a lot deeper.
That's the James Street players for ya. Always thinking outside the box.

They changed the ending so that Mimi actually dies. I got so mad when Roger sang "Thank god this moment was the last!"

It was nice of them to add the part where they explained what each reference in La Vie Boheme meant.

That was a brilliant choice. My favorite, though, was the change of setting to an insane asylum.

Splitting the role of Maureen between three different actresses was exciting, too. It made me see layers in the role I hadn't seen before.
The way Mimi cleared her throat before her songs was an inspired decision
There are too many glorious James Street productions repping it on broadway ahora. Where, oh where, are my Menier revivals?

I hope this historic revival is going to be being transmitted live on the 3D IMAX of my mind.
I personally felt that "Your Eyes" has never sounded better. Who knew that it would work so well as a full-ensemble tap number?
Does anyone know how much the cow gets paid to sing "Over the Moon"? And is she Equity?
You didn't recognize the cow? That's Glee star Lea Michele in a cow costume. She can't make it to all the shows, so they use a hologram. I couldn't tell the difference until Maureen 2 accidentally moved her hand "through" the Lea Michele hologram during one of their "leap of faith" dances.
But more importantly, who were the understudies and what was the show curtain?

I was pleasantly surprised with Gary Beach's performance as Mark! I had my doubts but he really did a great job making the character his own. I'll have to get my playbill to tell you about the understudies which I'll do tomorrow. The curtain was pretty cool. It was all the cast members who weren't on standing and holding hands. It was very creative and helped bring another level of closeness to the show.

I actually like seeing little theaters do RENT. It's refreshing, even if most of the time the flaws (read: gaping holes) in the dramaturgy are very apparent.

I didn't see it, but I saw a bootleg, and frankly, I didn't think that Alice Ripley was a very believable Mimi. I mean, she just didn't act enough like she was on drugs.
My friend saw it tonight and texted me that Mimi is dressed like Dora The Explorer during "Out Tonight". Is that because she's supposed to be Spanish?
