?'s about Caren Lyn Manuel

Was she in "Brookyln"? If so why did she leave? I saw in the "Gypsy of the Year" playbill that Caren's brother Corey was also in the "Rent" portion of the show... is he in "Rent" on Broadway as well?

BTW - How is Caren in "Rent"?

Caren left Brooklyn, and now she's playing Mark's Mom in RENT. Her brother Corey is not on Broadway.

And Caren is an amazing singer/actress. She rocks :)

Corey appeared in Caren's show "Womyn In Three" without about 8 or 10 Rent-ers or Rent alums. I think they did the "Rent portion" of the Gypsy of the Year. (but I am not absolutely sure about that)

She's an amazing talent. "Womyn in Three" was just one of the most unique and fascinating shows I have ever seen. And I dig her CD too.

i might have to go and see rent after years on sat just to see her as maureen. I am so sorry she never got to go on in bklyn. She missed it by a WEEK to play faith.

Corey took Justin Johnston's place when they did a full production of "Womyn In Three" on November 3rd. He played Martin Luther and Dean Nigro played the Judge, I believe.
You are right, he wasn't in the Fringe Festival production of the show.

I would love to see Caren as Mimi!! I bet she is amazing at it. I hung out with her the other night, so amazingly nice!! And she i just amazing in RENT no matter what part, great singer and dancer and everything!!

She is great...I saw her as Maureen about two years ago and was lucky enough to catch Womyn in 3 at the Fringe Festival. What a voice!!!!!! You don't expect it to come from such a tiny girl.

I have the Evita German tour cast recording with her as Eva Person and she sounds awsome! I met her outside of Brooklyn while she was collecting for bcefa and she was incredibly nice.
