good idea or no?
he's very mature for his age ... he's sufficiently derisive of jukebox musicals, and thinks spring awakening is derivative.

Not knowing much about horses, he might be disturbed by the horse blinding...but you know your colt better than I.

I caution you. It may be traumatizing. You won't be able to leave him barn alone.
first thread today to make me laugh out loud

he does seem to have an unnatural fixation on a musical adaptation of "the godfather".
oh, and did i mention he's hung like a ... well -- you know ...

i think he will thoroughly enjoy it.
might i suggest gourmet hay and wine before the show?
It depends on how he's dealing with the news about barbaro!
I think he will be ok. He seems very mature for his age. You could always try "Whose Afraid of Virgina Wolf," or maybe Avenue Q...p.s. i heart you for this thread.

haha...
It's the same rule of thumb as many people say for SA - it depends on the teen/colt. Is the colt mature enough to handle it?
Thanks for the laugh.
I recommend BAREBACK MOUNTING.
I don't know about Equus, but I took my stallion to see Catherine the Great and we were up all night! Oh, Wiiiillllburrrr!
He might wonder why no one gets naked around Him.
That's when you'll have your real predicament.
While I firmly support introducing colts to the theatre at a young age, you might want to start out with something tamer. I know I had problems with my own colt after we saw it. He couldn't sleep for days afterward.
Only if you take his neigh-bor.
Well I know that my horses hate to see anything where other horses are the star. Makes them think they can have a movie/musical/television show written about them. And then they think that they should star in it . . . takes weeks to talk them down from it and during that time there is just no reasoning with them!

Are you all going with his 8 and 9 year old cousins?
Just watch his hands, and make sure he wears blinders so he won't go blind.
p.s. Colt(s), Bare(s), Super.
pps: What does he mean that Spring Awakening is derivative?
Is that in an EQUITY sense as in value derived from a more fundamental source or investment?
Or rather in an EQUUS sense as in horsesh_t derived from a horse's ass?

Thanks for the laugh...I needed that!
"and make sure he wears blinders so he won't go blind."
So that's what blinders are for!
If your colt is less than four you'll be able to get half price tickets on Tuesdays in February. I do worry that most horses would be offended by the behavior of a typical Broadway audience these days.
I think Equus is a fine choice. It did win the Pony award after all.

should owners allow horses to eat oats in the theatre?
