Lyric Help!

Aug 15, 2008 — 12:44:58 PM

I've had this one lyric stuck in my head and I cannot figure out what musical its from. The line I can remember is "Too bad, I was looking forward to working with you". I'm pretty sure its from something modern and uptempo. IT"S DRVING ME CRAZY!!

Washington DC?

Aug 3, 2007 — 4:22:19 AM

I know there is a DC board but I don't think anyone actually looks at that. SO I'm going to be in Washington DC next week, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any interesting theatre/music events? I checked google, but all I found was Phantom of the Opera- boring. I don't want to spent every night in the hotel...

re: Retail: The Musical

Aug 2, 2007 — 9:13:44 PM

my parents own retail stores, so I literally grew up in them. I always wanted to write a musical about it, too. There would be a big scary number sung by the gremins who work in the stock rooms...

re: Worst Broadway Audience Ever?

Jul 31, 2007 — 4:06:25 AM

I was seeing the Julius Ceaser, and was seated next to a single older middle aged lady. At first glance, she seemed totally normal, a little over dressed for the theatre (she was wearing a pink formal gown) but she seemed nice enough and introduced herself to me and my mother, telling us this was her first show and that she was a CPA. When she turned and started talking to the people around us, I started looking closer at her and I realized that first, she had a very noticable price tag stick...

re: which part to take?

Thanks for all the advice! Another layer to add on: I've already done YCTIWY, as Essie YCTIWY is at a University LW at a regional theatre with great facilities and pays. So, I guess the question is, good part no pay, or supporting, pay?

which part to take?

May 5, 2007 — 2:22:25 AM

I got cast as both these parts in 2 different productions at 2 different theatres, both performing at the same time, and so I have to chose one, and fast. I was just wondering which role would look stronger on a resume. Alice in You Can't Take It With You Meg in Little Women (the musical) thnx!

German Cast Recording Titanic

Feb 4, 2007 — 3:25:36 PM

Has anyone heard the German Cast Recording of Titanic? If so, is it worth trying to dig up? Titanic has one of my favorite scores, and I'm also trying to expand my foreign-language cast recording collection. Thanks!

re: Online Cast Recordings

Feb 3, 2007 — 1:01:33 AM

yeah, i know this isn't really the point of the thread, BUT I saved as and imported them onto itunes, but the time reads as "0:00" and won't play. It gets the name and artist and album, right, though. I am on a dumb mac, if that helps.
