Trust me, I've seen plenty of other stuff as well. Just because I like to go back to an old favorite doesn't mean I don't appreciate a lot of other stuff too. Now, 1000 times is a little much, I agree...

I've seen it 72 times now. The last 4 times were October 4, 5, 7 and 8 on Broadway.
I'm so jealous of everyone having the chance to go to the lottery every day. I think I'd do exactly the same if I lived in NYC and not in stupid Germany where no one understood this great show.

I consider Rent my hobby. I think what a lot of people don't realize is that Broadway shows can be very accessible to people. I've seen every musical currently running, as well as a number of ones that have closed, a handful of plays, and Rent much more than anything else. Not because I don't like or appreciate anything else and don't want to expand my horizons, but because I like Rent a lot. I like seeing it often. I enjoy the music, the story, the message, the characters and the cast. I think that's an okay thing. There is a point where it becomes excessive, but that point is different for everybody. It does have the ability to take over your brain though, so it's not necessarily a bad thing that you are into it as much as you are. It's a great show.

It's ok, man. When something touches you, you want to be part of it. I told my cousin about the Rent movie, and she told me I was obsessed. That was mean, and I was offended. So, I know how you feel.

I love Rent! I'm seeing it for the second time in a two-months, lol. Its my second favorite musical. My first is Les Miserables, and I currently have thirteen tickets to that in my house (three of which are for me... I'm seeing it three times in a two-month period, and I'm dragging all my friends along). I get quite scary. But there's always someone scarier. :P As long as the rest of your life doesn't suffer, then you're fine.
And I'm not expanding my horizons? I try to see every musical (and non-musical) possible! I adore live theatre of all sorts, and I'm always eager to see something new. Rent (and Les Miserables) just happens to be one of my favorites, and I can't get enough of it. I see it every chance I get, but I also see new stuff every chance I get. I don't think there's anything wrong with that.
I see nothing wrong in loving a musical. I also love rent and have seen it 6 times. It helps that the tickets are somewhat affordable but if you love a show see it how many times you want. Just my opinion and letting you know that you are not alone in being "addicted" to Rent!
I am glad I am not the only one. I've had the CD forever and it's the only soundtrack I can listen to over and over and over again...
I FINALLY saw the show on Saturday (seen it twice touring) and can't wait to see it again. The show runs through my head, I've been searching the net for anything I can find on it since Saturday. I was surprised that I enjoyed Jeremy and Drew since I absolutely adore Adam.
Rest assured, you are not alone in the Rent obsession.
It's just such a great story.

Did you see the Broadway show this past Saturday?
If so, I was there. :)
"I absolutely adore Adam."
And you get a very big 'yay' from this gal.
Yes, Saturday was a Rent consumed day... started with buying my tix @ TKTS. Then went to Virgin to use the potty and found Adam's new CD. Then saw RENT and *sigh* amazing!!!!
It was a VERY good Saturday!
Matinee or evening? Where'd you sit? Did you love Kelly? *cough*
A girl has to know these things!
