I have Angel & Ari. One was made of the original production of Shelter but Columbia records never released it. They denied one was made but it was as they release a 45 of the title song and another one by the original cast.

Are we sure about Ari being recorded? This is the first I have heard of it. I know there is a live recording that is horrible quality, but never heard of a professional one.
Yes, Shelter was professionally recorded. I recall the ad in the NYTimes the day they went into the studio. "THERE ARE NO TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR TODAY'S PERFORMANCE OF SHELTER due to the recording of the cast album. " or something like that. Why this sticks with me, I'll never know.

Yes, we are saying that HOLLER recorded a cast album, but it has not been released... yet. Will it be released or will it join SHELTER and LESTAT in limbo? We don't know.

I have a copy of Metro (in English) -- it sounds like a cast recording not a "live" cd.
