I can't wait to see audience reactions in the theatre, and I wonder if they'll be similar to those that occur during the show...

I was talking to one of the cast members about the show, and I said my mom had never seen it, but that I wanted her to see it on stage before she sees the movie. He was like "nah, let her see the movie!" That's how much confidence they've got in this thing.

It will be interesting to see if it is a more complete work than the stage version. Who knows what changes would have been made if Johnathan Larson didn't meet such a tragic end.

I think everyone's worried about that, but there's not really much we can do about it.
They probably wont post here, so there's that.
And, on the bright side, the influx of fans could help Rent stay open a lot longer and beat Cats. :)

It would be amazing if Rent could stay open long enough to beat Cats.
It's so moving to hear about the cast members' reaction to the film. Gosh. It must have been amazing for them to see it.
I'm going to try and see the movie on Tuesday night at midnight, and I actually hope people cheer and clap, etc. I could do without the singing thought, but it won't matter too much because I'll definately see the movie more than once.
