re: '[Rent Movie] Better Than The Show!'

As far as "industry" goes, the movie is still sort of under the radar more than we think it is. The major marketing push hasn't really even begun yet, in full force. Most of what's been done thusfar has been on the blog, which is stuff for the fans. I just don't think it's bullsh*t, but that they want us to feel comfortable and included. They know Rent fans are going to see this movie -- they don't have to convince us to. They have no reason to lie. Of course they'd not post a blog entry saying that they're afraid ___ scene totally blows, but they just don't feel that way.

Maybe this has turned me into a cockeyed optimist. Who knows?

I just don't think that as the cast and Jonathan's family have been so involved thusfar, they'd let the studio pull any crap like that. This is too important to them. And they're confident, which I don't think could be said for some of the films on the list in that article.

Whatever. It's easier for me to be trusting.

Press screenings should start happening very shortly.

Ooo, I can get $5 back for The Patriot!

Personally, I don't ever base my opinions on movies on professional reviews, especially the one-liners in print ads. If someone feels that betrayed over a $8 movie ticket and are willing to carry this opinion over to any movie produced by the theater, then they really need to seek professional help.

re: '[Rent Movie] Better Than The Show!'

question regarding the movie, is Love heals in the movie at credits or is it just on the cd.

I think it's my favorite song on the cd.
