Those lyrics "blah, blah, blah, blah, blah blah" would have made Cole Porter jealous had he still been alive.

Something tells me it won't be around in a years time (thankfully).

Actually, the original title of "You're the Top" was indeed "You're the Blah."
I hear Bock and Harnick eventually replaced their repeated Blahs in "If I Were a Rich Man." And who could forget Weill and Brecht's ode to general malaise, the "Blah Song." Sadly, it was cut from LoveMusik.

No other musical has had sex onstage either! In Passion, they were really just cuddling. True story.

Yea- I guess Christine's leopard print bathing suit doen't quite match up to a bunch of young kids pulling off knickers and nightgowns, I mean in terms of sexual arousal, not shear fabulous-ness.

This thread is cracking me up!!

you blasphemers who decry the wonder and awe that is spring awakenings (now with robert deniro and robin williams) have little time to repent your heresy. come tomorrow those who defile the greatest show ever put on a stage anywhere in the world will be visited by the ghost of carol channing. and she is not looking swell, bitches!

jenna you're a sweet little office monkey, but the great sun god ra has determined that too many threads by me on the main board would result in chaos, widespread looting, massive demonstrations of female nudity (of course recorded in minimum 1200 dpi full color or hd video and sent to me at papalovesmambo@earthlink.net) and possibly obesity in the entire student population of teaneck, nj. because of my devotion to humanity, i must limit myself. hail spring awakening!

Fair enough, papa. I appreciate that you restrain yourself for the greater good.

Long live Duncan Sheik and whatnot.

Spring Awakening years from now will just be a glimmer in the minds of those who cherish Broadway.

Groundbreaking? How so? I have yet to hear a legitimate argument for why it is revolutionary or groundbreaking.

The score is good. The book is TERRIBLE. The cast is talented, but what Broadway cast isn't?

I especially love how people call it groudbreaking and revolutionary and amazing, when they have yet to see it.
