strong ensemble songs

We are going to sing some musical ensemble songs at a musicalconcert. We have 8 men, and 12 women. I am looking for famous and non famous ensemble songs to sing with this professional choir (we all did conservatory). Who has ideas? Thanx

I have to second the suggestion of "Make Our Garden Grow." Gah, that's gorgeous. I watched it about 7 times in a row when it aired on PBS.

Also, "Sunday," from Sunday in the Park With George.

Seasons of Love is a great song for an ensemble like yours... my chamber singer did it and we were 20 people too.

Also: 42nd Street [fun to swing dance to]
New York State of Mind
It isn't musical theater, but people will recognize it... Under the Sea [the King Singer's version]

a CUTE one - not strong, but fun - Telephone Hour - Bye Bye Birdie. You Cant Stop the Beat from Hairspray. And you can find a bunch of arrangements of Gershwin stuff.

About half of the songs in Children of Eden, but in particular the Finale, "In the Beginning". It's just a gorgeous chorale style song with a beautiful message.

I also want to third "Make Our Garden Grow" and second "Sunday". And for "Sunday", I would look into getting a hold of Jason Robert Brown's arrangement. It's incredible, though I doubt it's availible.
