does anyone have the MARY POPPINS recording?
i'm absolutely desperate to hear it.
i've searched LIMEWIRE etc, but the disney recording dominates. i know that one can NEVER have enough of julie andrews, but...i'd love to hear the west end musical version.

I have it. I bought it from Amazon.uk....Your credit card will be charged in the Euro and will appear that way on your bank statement, but it will obviously charge you the equal amount in american money....i think it came to like $15, but i bought it presale...i've heard it's gone up.
Best of Luck!

I don't care what your circumstances are you can buy the CD from Amazon or First Night Records from almost any place in the world and even if you can't or you can't get it delivered to your location, there are always legal options to take. hell, give me the money. I'll buy it for you and I'll make sure it gets to you. at least then you wouldn't be breaking the law...

I have to say that Michael Billington in the Guardian and Ben Brantley hit the nail on the head in their review. The show only reaches musical theatre nirvana in a few spots. The opening 10 minutes were especially disappointing-they lack pizzazz. I understand the musical is more faithful to the book than the film was but it was such a wonderful film.
