"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."
-John Guare, Landscape of the Body
I just realized how few times I've seen performers in multiple principal or featured ensemble roles.
Patrick Page- Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King Ann Sanders- Beauty and the Beast, Avenue Q Saycon Sengbloh- Wicked, Hair Josh Lamon- Wicked (Tour), Hair Leslie McDonel- Hairspray, Legally Blonde (Tour)
I have only seen one show on Broadway, so it's a surprise that I have seen Ron Bohmer, Norm Lewis, and Julia Murney each twice (well, okay, with Norm Lewis, it was intentional). I've also seen Tracy Lynn Olivera four times, but she only has one Broadway credit to my knowledge.
And without knowing he was in any of them, I bought three cast recordings of musicals with Robert Westenberg in one day. (Guess who got an iTunes gift card as a present?)
In my pants, she has burst like the music of angels, the light of the sun! --Marius Pantsmercy
It's probably going to be Geoffrey Streatfeild. Which is very pleasing! I've seen him in Henry IV Part 1, Henry IV Part 2, Henry V, Henry VI Part 1, Henry VI Part 2, Henry VI Part 3, Richard III, The Contingency Plan, Pains of Youth, and Eigengrau. So far! And I will continue seeing him in things for as long as he is in things. He is MARVELLOUS. :3
Broadway performers? Erm... does Jenny Galloway count? Seen her in Les Mis (on Broadway), Mary Poppins, The Music Man, and After the Dance. I don't get many opportunities to see Broadway performers, y'all. XD
I saw Karen Ziemba once in World Goes Round, three times in Crazy for You over three years(with three different casts) , once in I Do I Do, once in Steel Pier, three times in Chicago (with three different casts)over two years, once in Contact. That's a total of ten times.
