Hello,
I just had a quick question about The Homecoming stage door. I'm planning on going to New York in about week and I am seeing three shows and am really wanting to work in Passing Strange into my schedule on Sunday but I was also wanting to stage door The Homecoming for Raul Esparza. So my question is does he even stage door and if he does, around what time does he usually come out? Passing Strange is about 20 min longer than The Homecoming so I was curious. Thanks!

I remember the cast being out of there relatively quickly, so I guess it's kind of the luck of the draw if you'll be coming from Passing Strange by the time you factor in the extra length and however long it will take you to walk up. But you might make it, so it's probably worth a try.

I'd say like... 15-20 max. Maybe not even that. I guess you should probably just hope for a slow night.

Posted: 3/12/08 at 9:08pmThe cast is quite pleasant at the stage door, particularly Raul who usually exits as others have indicated about 15 to 20 minutes after curtain. The show is great....enjoy!

Gareth was awesome! As was Raul (I hadn't necessarily been a huge fan before, but he really impressed me in the play and with his courtesy and kindness). Eve was wonderful.
Ian was the only one who slipped out and went to the car. He looked like he was in a rush, so no one stopped him. But I've heard he's great as well.

I'm going in two weeks, so excited.
Anyone know if they tend to miss matinees?
As depressing as it is, I might have to see it on a matinee day, and I can see the actors not having the stamina to do this show (which has to be exhausting) twice a day.
Either way, very excited for what seems to be a great production.
Definitely gonna stage door to meet McKean and Esparza afterward...

When I saw the show in December, I went for a matinee and no one was missing. (However, if any of them were to be missing, an annoucement would be made before the show started).
Also, the energy level didn't feel off at all and everyone gave a great performance.

Posted: 3/18/08 at 9:38amThe entire cast appears in all performances, including matinees. I have found that Sunday matinees are the best shows, darker and more "out there" than during the week.
