If any of you haven't yet had the chance to see this brilliant show, tomorrow is your last chance! There is a performance at 5pm and then the final performance at 8pm. There is RUSH 2 hours prior to the performance. $30 with a student ID. Or you can go onto BroadwayBox.com and use one of the discount codes (there's one for $45 tickets on there) and get them online.
I'll be at the 8pm show! Can't wait! Who else is going?
ETA: Reflections below...
Saw It Loved it
Best to all involved!
Will listen to the Cast CD
Over and Over.
I'l be there with my bud Patrick (who has a great show blog).
It's gonna be so intense, and so sad.

Saw it last night - finally. How much do we love them? Is Broadway in it's future? Or a tour? Anyone know?

If this isn't an endorsement, I don't know what is!
After being unable to get rush tickets on Friday, I caught the 5 o'clock performance today, and wow! What a terrific show. I don't think a show has made me laugh out loud that many times in a while.
I know it was only the penultimate show, but you could definitely tell the actors were getting sad. At one point toward the end, Heidi began to tear up and it was heartbreaking.
So glad I got to see it and I hope we haven't seen the last of it!
Also, Celia KB was there on Friday and Seth Rudetsky was there today!
I just got home from the final performance. The audience was going wild throughout the entire show. What an emotion filled evening. There were several extended applause; after the opening number, after "Die Vampire Die", a HUGE applause after "A Way Back to Then" and of course standing ovations galore at the end of the show. Each cast member gave thank yous, and then Michael Berresse came on stage and said some beautiful words about the show. They were all in tears.
At the end, Hunter said, "As many of you know, this is our last show at the Vineyard Theatre." It seemed very left open as to if this show will have a future beyond the Vineyard, so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for this wonderful talented group of people and their show that is unlike any other.
i wanna cry just thinking about this show never happening anywhere else! someone put this show in a theatre and kick all these jew shows out! how many e! televsion comedians can we have making b-list Off Broadway shows and then leave poor little [title of show] out in the cold?

Pardon my ignorance but what is Michael Berresse's connection to the show?
Michael Berresse is the director and choreographer.
I wished I could've been there for the final performance. I'm sure it was exciting and emotional evening!

Really?
When did he have time to do it?
I thought he went from TLITP straight to ACL rehearsals.
I am in complete denial that [tos] is gone... at least from the Vinyard.
P.S. Foster - that picture is now my background on my computer. Three of my favorite broadway people on earth, in the same PICTURE dammnit.
EDIT - I was beat.
SNLMedia, I was looking for you. I thought you had a ticket and were set to be there.
I was front row, dead center. YEEHOO!
neddyfrank2, [title of show] started its creative process 3 years ago, long before Piazza even began.
Sadly, things fell through and I couldn't make it tonight. I was there in spirit, listening to the cast recording and reflecting. I feel honored to have seen it twice during its commercial run.

Wannabeafoster- But the show opened in July, so when did he have time to Direct and Coreogrpah and tech the show?
WOW...what an INTENSE show, especially during the last third where even from where I was sitting in Row G, you could tell everybody was trying to hold it together and not completely bawl. Lots of sniffling in the audience.
On a happier note, Hunter told me that the gang recorded a very special ALL NEW Xmas Story n' Carols for the this years CAROLS FOR A CURE cd. So the [title of show] story isn't over yet!
neddyfrank2, the Vineyard run opened in July. [tos] ran at the Ars Nova last year before this run and at the New York Musical Theater Festival 3 years ago. It had been directed and choreographed long ago.
Not to mention, Piazza only performed a few hours a day, 6 days a week once the run began. I think Mr. Berresse had plenty of time to devote to [tos] on the side.
I just got back from the final performance. I gotta say, it was really fantastic tonight. Really touching performance and everyone was perfect. The long applause after "Die Vampire Die" and "Way Back To Then" were awesome. I started to cry once I noticed that Susan and Heidi were losing it during "Nine People's Favorite Thing"
This show was one of a kind and I really hope it moves on to some where else. I don't know what I'll do with out my weekend [TOS] fix :P
They all had these hilarious shirts made that said "[shirt]" and my friends and I were trying to snag one but, we failed.
Ah I can't believe it's over!

Oh Okay!
Thank you so much for all your information.
Honestly, does anyone know if they'll do a tour? I highly doubt it since it's just a simple Off-Broadway show, but still. Do you think there will be a chance?
I hope this finds another Off-Broadway market, but who's to say?
The problem with the show is also the reason we all love it. The show is so specific to New York City and Broadway and Off-Broadway shows that I really don't think it could play anywhere else to the same effect.
What would they do with the phone messages? There are no big Los Angeles or San Francisco or Chicago theatre stars the way there is in New York. How would you explain the concept of NYMF, or the many jokes which require knowledge of New York City?
I mean, of course the show works on some basic level, but we're all theatre nerds. I had many friends attend the show over the 3 performances I saw, and even though they really enjoyed it, they all professed to not understanding most of the jokes.
Sigh...it's tough to say. I really hope it continues on.
