Amnie, i just learned last week that one of the most beautiful girls i know suffered from bulimia for a long time, and she STILL has body issues, despite how everyone raves now about her looks. This was after knowing her and working closely with her for two years, she finally told me about it in desparation. It's attitudes like your basher's (all too common) that cause such deep and hidden rifts in otherwise secure people. Trust me, if the basher is truly in casting, that kind of judgemental and arbitrary reaction just means they can't be much good at it. You look like you, and that is the best thing about you. Never feel as if you have to look at yourself through someone else's eyes; some of the best advice i ever heard a costumer give was "i will make sure all of the cast looks right, even if they don't think they look GOOD"..."good" is far too subjective. We all do different kind of drag every day (RuPaul said it best, to paraphrase "we all wake up naked, the rest is drag"), so revel in your costume choice, flesh or garment, and let the rest wish they had your confidence. And for other readers, myself not excluded, let's temper how catty we can be in judging another person's physicality or fashion.
