The DVD is well worth the money if you are a dance fan or a fan of Bob Fosse's work. It is also a treasure as it features a couple of original Fosse dancers (Ann Reinking and Ben Vereen) and preserves them forever on DVD. It is rare (except for bootlegs) to see Fosse stage work on video or DVD.

it's not the only dvd of bob fosse stage work.
There is the "Pippin" dvd...

Just for clarification... I did say that it was RARE that Bob's stage work was preserved on DVD. (Not that there was none of his stage work on DVD.)

I saw this performance in March with a touring company that was headed to Europe right afterward. It was amazing. Most of his best works are in that show.

DefyingGravity, FOSSE is just a revue of Bob Fosse's choreography thru his many shows, movies, and television programs. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY reccomend you buying the dvd because Bob Fosse's choreography is the greatest EVER!!!!!

not really...i have tickets to see the touring cast on December 10th in dallas and i was just curious as to what it was really about. if there was any sort of storyline to it or if it was just an exhibition of Fosse's work.

The current touring cast is wonderful. They woke up the sleepy people here in South Dakota and everyone lept to their feet during the curtain call- that NEVER happens.
