#1: Mary Poppins in "Mary Poppins". Laura Fairlie or Anne Catherick in "The Woman in White". Of course, Christine in "Phantom of the Opera" would rock. Cosette in "Les Miserables". Guenevere in "Camelot". Eliza in "My Fair Lady".
Male roles?
Enjolras in "Les Miserables". Sir Percival Glyde in "The Woman in White". Sir Percy in "The Scarlet Pimpernel". The Phantom in "The Phantom of the Opera". King Arthur in "Camelot".
Regardless of gender? That would be an endless, so here's just female roles. 1) Maureen -Rent (or Mimi but I'm pale with blond hair and blue eyes so one that won't happen) 2) Lady of the Lake -Spamalot (I swear I was born for that role) 3) Susan -Tick, Tick...BOOM! 4) Either Glinda or Elphaba -Wicked (please don't hate me for that) 5) Kate Monster/Lucy the Slut -Avenue Q (But I have no puppeteer experience) + several more Okay, so that's 7 roles, and all fairly predictable and unoriginal, but what can I say? Those are all such great roles to me. Elyse. No day but today.
