i was wondering if rehersals had started on wicked yet? when is idina due to come over to london? also, when is the show due to move into the apollo victoria and set up?- i would have thought it is soon as it is currently dark after the flop that was moving out! any info would be much appreciated, thanks!
No i think Elphaba 3 has a very valid point. They seem to be leaving it a bit late to move into the theatre considering the technicality of the set. I can imagine the staging must be quite a long process to get right aswell. I can't see that the rehearsals wouldn't be underway now but who knows - we are not being very well posted!
id like to know lifeisacabaret because im interested in the shows progress, its what comes with been a fan of a show- i suppose you must not understand that!!
Mark E- can you count? Opening night is 27th September. Its now the 28th july. Thats 2 Months, not 5 or 6 weeks. The First preview however, is actually a few weeks closer.
And Jenny 3- how do you know theyre 'leaving it a bit late'? How do you know theyre not currently at the theatre?
oh get a life you moron! (lifeisacabaret) in response to your message you commented on my grammar-check your own! 'The girl who aksed' and 'by they way'! please dont leave comments on here because frankly no-one wants to read them!
Well, i don't know whether they are leaving it a bit late or not but i just mean for a large scale musical it is strange that there seems to be no activity or mention about it as of yet. Quite frankly, i think you are being very abrupt in your comments and i would appreciate it if you cease to post comments that criticise others - there is no point!
They aren't yet in the theatre with the company. They should be moving in, in about 3-4 weeks. They are though preparing the stage, FOH and set. The closure of Movin' Out means they can take slightly more time over it all. But there is still time-a-plenty to get it up and running.

Yeah, I was kinda including the previews, which i think start on the 7th. So yeah, i can count actually.
I believe that most shows have between 4 and 6 weeks rehearsal, with the cast only moving into the theatre for the end of that period. So there's no rush yet...
I'm just glad that we're getting a full-blown production after the disappointment of the flimsy-looking Producers and Mille sets.
The Wicked Officials will have been in the theatre when moving out was on...The Spamalot Production team are in the top floor of the palace theatre now....Just thought i'd comment....lifeisacabaret had a pop at me to because i'd put a double post on by mistake - just ignore him.
just ignore lifesacabaret hes starting to piss me off to,its just nasty comment after nasty comment and there is just no point(i think he just needs to get laid hehehehe)
every show ive done has been about a 4 week rehearsal period so it seems to be right on track.
rehersal pictures are appearing!! And idina has bangs!! :P at first I wasn't a huge fan of the bangs, but they're def def growing on me- to the point where I think they're really adorable now
I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.
Oh my goodness, i am so excited! It's all kicking off now - before we know it, it will be here. What a lovely looking cast in the pictures - the countdown has started!
The blonde is Helen Dallimore, she's an Aussie and it's her West End debut as Glinda. I've heard good things about her and she's absolutely stunning as well.
I'm not entirely sure what 'bangs' are; i think it's either the fringe or it could be the slight 'curliness' of Idina's hair maybe. Hhmmm...
