Posted: 2/5/07 at 8:17pmWicked rush? In the near future? Highly doubtful. ACL and Spamalot seem more likely, but I'm not sure.

Posted: 2/5/07 at 8:18pmThere is a wicked rush and there is an ACL rush. Spamalot doesn't have one however they do have standing room for 25 bucks a ticket.

Wicked rush would be crazily chaotic.
People would constantly be camping out.

Lottos and rush are the same thing. Student rush is different.
How are they the same thing? Rush you wait in a line, first come first served. Lottos are lotteries, the last person in line could win.

Okay, first of all, your post hurts my brain and makes Baby Jesus cry a little.
Now that I've deciphered it......
No, that's not true. Chicago is still an absolute rush line. Yeah, the line where you sit there on your ass till the box office opens.
Some shows actually do still have a real rush and NOT a lotto.
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...

winston, you are an imbecile.
1. They do let you sit down for hours.
2. Neither the cops nor the house staff says a word to you.
3. CHICAGO is not the only show that does that. Many people do CHICAGO rush, as well as standing room. CHICAGO tickets are usually easy to get via TKTS, but not for $25.
You're an idiot. Go check some facts.

So, you cannot sit out camped out for hours in front of a buliding in NYC otherwise that particular theatre gets a sitation from the cops.
Oh? Wow, you're dim.
Ask Renthead Joel about camping out...

Lizzie, they had the rush line in the very beginning but changed it to lotto because they got sitations from the cops bout the people blocking the building.
And, Monk are you calling me an imbecile because I said " **** baby jesus" or did you call me that becasue I was reporting what happend when me and my friends went through when last attempting the Chiacago rush.

If by accurate info you mean what happend to me and my cousin when we did the Chicago rush? That is what happend. There were cops across the street cus they were setting up for SA and they kept an eye on us and yelled at us for loitering sp?
Look, I am not saying that a few people wait round for 10 to roll by for the rush. And I am willing to admit that maybe this dosen't always happen and I was dealing with a cop who had a bug up his ass.
But, the kinds of lines your talking bout like in the early days of Rent. Can never and will never happen again. If you ask the people at the Nederlander box office why they had a line and then had to switch to a lotto they would tell you that it's becuase they got sitations from the cops for having people block a public place for a long period of time. And those lines were not like a few people long. They used to go all the way up 41st.
But, if you were to camp out for chicago tickets then you will get yelled at by a cop.

I never got yelled at waiting at the CHICAGO rush.
People used to line up at SPAMALOT at 5 am for SRO. Back when the cast was star studded.
Maybe the cops just didn't like you.
