Xanadu on Tour?

Posted: 9/24/08 at 1:42pmIs there any possibility that Xanadu could go on tour anytime soon... or ever?! I want to see it so bad. It sucks living all the way across the country. Any chance that anyone from the OBC would go on the tour if there was one?

I read that they're supposed to be going on tour but there's no definite date set( maybe around this time next year, I'm not sure), and I don't think Kerry or Cheyenne would be going on the tour.
BTW I don't think you're a nimrod, it was a valid question.

Sorry Angel, looks like you might be on your own now, because I did kinda glance at that article a couple days ago on Playbill.com. Oh well now you've got the answer to your question.

Right in the article on the new closing date was the following (bolding added):
"...Xanadu will play at the La Jolla Playhouse in California in November, followed by a six month engagement at Chicago's Drury Lane Theatre, followed by a national tour. The premiere foreign production just opened in Seoul, Korea. Plans are underway for productions in London (co-produced with David Ian andJohn Gore), China, Australia and the Philippines..."
I can't wait to see this in a couple of months at La Jolla Playhouse. I'll post a review then. I saw the Broadway version in June - unfortunately without Jackie Hoffman (Annie Golden was good though), but all the rest of the cast was in. So, I can do a bit of a compare and contrast on the two casts.

Thanks for the link and answering my question.
But you know, BrodyFosse123, you don't have to be rude. I dont' mean to be a hypocrite, but I see this often on this board and I want to say something.
The point of a discussion thread is to talk about things and a lot of people use it to get information from others, am I wrong? You're putting down everyone that isn't as all-knowing-about-Broadway or resourceful as you. IF you have no sympathy for people who you unconsciously think are "below" you, then something is wrong with you.
And I DID look around, but I can't spend all my time looking for something I'm having trouble finding when I can ask my fellow broadway fans and professionals and get an answer right away. I can give you countless similar situations that I'm sure you would be in, but I would be "a nimrod" to waste too much time on you.
Thanks killertofu333 for sympathyzing for me and mlsheehan for the help.
