It's funny how Wicked, the most hated show on these boards, is in the most loved theater.
Or at least, it was funny in my head.
Anyway, I love the Nederlander. :)

I love the Palace, Majestic, and Imperial theatre. The Marquis Theatre is kinda small but I like it.

I love all of them, because its Broadway!
The newly renovated Biltmore. They actually took out seats to make more room!
I also love the Lyceum. Simply beautiful sculptures inside.

I love all of the old theatres for their interior architecture, and murals.I just wish there was more leg room.
The Shubert organization owns most of these old theatres and they really take care of them, refurbishing them when needed.
The Broadway Theatre was refurbished prior to the opening of GYPSY in May, 1959. There were huge faux windows which were back lit on both sides of the orchestra level. When the lights went down just prior to the overture, the drapes on both sides of these "windows" closed.They are no longer there.
As for the names of these theatres, there have been recent name changes over the past few years. It strikes me that the Imperial Theatre could have its name changed to the Ethel Merman
Theatre. She appeared there in so many shows: "Annie Get Your Gun", "Call Me Madam", and "Gypsy"(when it moved there from the Broadway) being three of them. Just a thought for "The First Lady of the Musical Theatre" as she was known.

For leg room, the Gershwin of course, but overall my favorite theatre is the August Wilson Theatre. It's such a lovely little theatre and it's the theatre I've been at the most(LSOH-5 times, Little Women-1 time, and Jersey Boys-4 times).

From the one's I've been to, my favorites are the Majestic (for atmosphere), the New Amsterdam, and Marquis.
I'm actually a sucker for the more modern theatres...I like going up an escalator to the lobby and being in a black box (which is what I wish the Mqrwuis was)...
But at the same time I love the old theatres for their small sizes and atmosphere and beauty.
Well, then, I guess we'll have to say I love them all! :)

For sentemental reasons, the Majestic for me is my Fav. even if phantom wasnt there it is still a great house.
My other fav is the Winter Garden, I've never seen cats in there, but when i went to Mamma Mia it was so nice and "clean" looking, pluss it is strange looking because it is so wide.
The New Am certainly is the prettiest.
Hated the Nederlander, Imperial and Broadway.
Cant wait to see how the Minskoff looks now that Disney threw up all over it.

I love the Imperial & the Neil Simon.
The Marquis was the comfiest.
I thought the most beautiful theatre was the Broadway Theatre.

I really didn't like the Imperial, mainly because it was so cramped.

i'm not sure if i have a favorite, but i can tell you my least favorite. I do not like the Nederlander at all. Both times i was there it was freezing. I had to leave my coat and scarf on lol. And if you're in the back of the balcony you can feel a draft.
