Sweeney I guess, but this is so hard for me. Compared to others on the boards I am so much younger. I could actually say Les Mis and would fit into the category. Umm so before 1988 there are dzens of shows that I adore, but my top favorite would be Sweeney

With the exception of PARADE, most of the shows I consider my favorites were written before I was born: Anything Goes, Company, Gypsy, Evita, Sweeney Todd, March of the Falsettos (In Trousers, too... Falsettoland is the only one that was written after I was born). Sunday in the Park with George came out the year I was born, but it was written before that (one would assume...)

I could almost say Phantom of the Opera-it opened only two years after I was born. But if I'm playing by the rules I have to say Jesus Christ Superstar and Sweeney Todd.
