2024 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Broadway Performance Predictions Nov 28

I do not think it is a great show, but I was thoroughly entertained and really found myself caring about Pony Boy and his brothers. Brody Grant's understudy was in for the performance I saw, and I thought that he was outstanding in the role, so this is not a case where a specific performer makes or breaks a show. 2024 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Broadway Performance Predictions Nov 28

I’m in the central time zone so just finished watching the three performances.
I didn’t hate the HK performance as much as I expected to based on reviews here, but like every other performance I’ve seen from the show, it left me feeling meh about the show.
It was cool seeing Hilty and Simard introduce the performance & I thought Michelle was fine, but somehow when I saw H & S introduce, I thought wow they’re going to have to hurry

2024 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Broadway Performance Predictions Nov 25

Just saw on the news that bad weather could impact the parade. I’m assuming that at some point over the years inclement weather has forced the parade to be canceled or postponed. Am I correct? Anyone know? Details? I’m wondering if the Broadway shows which I believe have to pay to participate are reimbursed if the parade is nixed? Or would they transition to showing a production from inside their respective theatres?

BOOP! The Betty Boop Musical - Pre-Broadway Chi Dec 2

I believe they did this with the out-of-town Tootsie pre-Broadway run too. Don’t see it as hurting anything.

My thoughts on the shows:
& Juliet - I really enjoyed this. If I had room for one more show on my trip next month, I’d probably choose this. However. with no set pieces and if I hadn’t heard the intro or didn’t know about the show, I’m not sure I would have realized it was a Broadway show. Not sure how many tickets this will sell, but then again they are having no problem packing them in now.

But I will say that part of what makes The Flick so long are the long periods of silence, which can vary significantly from production to production. Again I don't know for a fact, but I would wager that they didn't abridge the script, just performed it more quickly."
Not sure why I thought I saw an abridged version. I’ve looked in various places and

I saw The Flick in London and I’m pretty sure I saw an abridged version? I loved it, by the way.

HAMILTON Principal Cast Replacements Sep 6

Not sure if this is the most recent thread or most relevant, but it appears to be from my search. I’m going to be in NYC in December. Hamilton is my favorite show & my first time seeing it was in 2015 with the OBC. I’ve seen it 6 more times since (3 x in Chicago, 3 x on tour in OKC). After seeing it with OBC, I’ve been hesitant to see it again on Broadway. I know that OBC was lightening in a bottle, but I’m a big fan of Miquel Cervantes from seeing him 3 x in

KIMBERLY AKIMBO Reviews Jun 13

BossBroadway said: "While I do think Kimberly Akimbo's sales will rise up significantly, I see it having a similar outcome as A Strange Loop in that it sees a boost and then falls off after about 8-12 weeks. Whoever said KA costs 400k per week is wrong; it is 570k, a much higher number than many thought. I see it lasting through at least September, maybe January if it holds it out a little longer. The reason I say this is because Tony viewership has been significantly down since

Jumpin_J said: "Yes, congrats to the show. It will join the cluster of "niche" shows like A Strange Loop and The Band's Visit of shows that won the Tony, didn't make money, and will likely close by February. That's just a fact. The show has rarely broken $600K weekly and I'm sure it costs at least that much just to keep the lights on. Will they get a bump from Sunday? Probably, but not a long lasting one. David Stone who produced Wicked has deep pockets and

I really liked it. I’d still do it if I were you. I’m very glad I saw it. If you liked the John Legend and the filmed UK versions, I think you will be too.

JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR 50th Anniversary Tour Feb 19

Saw this tonight in Oklahoma City. So glad I caught it. Watched it from front row center in orchestra pit.
First time seeing it in a theatre. Even though it was a little busy, I liked the choreography. A very talented cast. In a cast of vocal powerhouses, Jack Hopewell (Jesus) and Elvie Ellis really stood out both for their voices and their acting choices. Phenomenal.
I will say that even though I’ve seen the fairly recent filmed stage production as well as the
