Figured we're getting to closer to the point where we're going to find out whether principal members are extending or not, and rather than have a thousand individual threads each time someone leaves, we could condense it all to here.

Haven't seen Javi in the role myself, but have only seen good reports about him so this is probably a sensible idea.

It seems everything is speculation at this point, do we know when exactly the principle cast will take their final bow? I know the previews started 7/13/15. If they leave exactly a year, then the cast will leave around 7/10/16 since this is a Sunday Show.  Everyone is suggesting they will leave in July and some say the end of July. 

Reason why I am asking is I am sitting on tickets for 7/23/16, and I really want to see LMM and Leslie one last time.

I can't imagine that everyone is going to leave at the exact same time. Some we know are leaving (Leslie, Renee), some will almost certainly depart (Daveed, Chris) around the same time, but not everyone at once. I wouldn't be surprised if Philippa stayed another few months and I imagine a few (Anthony, Oak, Jasmine maybe) will stick around longer.

We know that Leslie and Renee are leaving? I don't remember seeing a press release about them leaving? (can someone post a link if I missed it)

"I wish they would get someone like Anika Noni Rose to do Angelica after Renee leaves." I would die for Karen Olivo to return to Broadway to play Angelica.

Leslie confirmed he was leaving in an interview to focus on his music career. 

I haven't heard anything about Renee though.

A recent interview with LMM SAID he's getting it on its feet with casting and such, not that he's performing on the Chicago run.

That's actually super disappointing that Lin, Leslie, Renee, and Jon Groff will all definitely be gone by July. I hope everyone else stays a little longer.

Uh, hate to say it, but I know one person in that list who definitely won't be staying longer than July. In fact, he won't even be on this week. And hasn't been for the past few weeks.

Maybe I'm cynical but it honestly wouldn't surprise me if they all left in July. They will have been doing the show for 18 months with a 5 week break, if they signed another contract it'd be 2 and a half years instead of the usual 2 years when a person renews.
