I'd say just your regular 16 - 32. It's always good to be prepared to sing and entire song, though.

Brady, Tveit, Astin And Thoms To Lead RENT At Hollywood Bowl May 1

SO I'm just gonna randomly jump in here... I hope you guys don't mind... I have some very, well, let's just say strong opinions. First off: And I can't be the only person who wants to take Tracy Thoms' hand and gently say, "Sweetheart, let it go." << I'm with you on this. More than I can express. I feel like she needs to take a deep breath and just get on with her career! Second: I can totally see Skylar Astin as Mark. I feel like that can be a good choice. However, Aar

Hi there! So I found the casting call for Next to Normal's first national tour on Backstage and it says 18+ for the ages and it's an equity call. I'm 16 and not an equity member. Do you think there's even a point for me trying to go? Please please please somebody let me know because this means a lot to me and I just have no clue what to do!! Thanks!

Les Mis auditions questions Apr 12
2010, 08:00:11 AM
Hi there! So I found an equity principle audition casting notice for Les Mis and I'm really interested. Only problem is that I'm not equity. Also the role I'd be going for says ages 18 - 25 but the younger the better. I'm 16. Does anyone know if I'd still be seen if I went/ if I should go at all? Thanks!

Does anyone know what the casting is going to be like? Is it going to be pretty much the same as the Seattle production?

AdamGreer, I too am very interested. Where did this information about Alice and Bobby come from? I'm intrigued... And what does that mean for the rest of the cast for the tour? What are they going to do for Natalie and Gabe and everyone? Point about the show ending once the original cast's contract are done... Aaron's gone and they're still going strong. If you get the right actors I have faith that it can hold together.

Bettyboy72, when Aaron was Gabe all seemed right in the world :) Although I've never seen Kyle Dean's take on the role so I can't really speak... Another very unrealistic suggestion: Marcia Gay Harden. Even though she doesn't sing... Her energy and talent when I saw her in God of Carnage would have been perfect! If only she sang... Sorry for that very unrealistic realistic suggestion, but I felt an urge to just put it out there

I'm sorry. This is somewhat random. But can I just say that this - "The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal - just made me laugh so insanely hard. Thank you for that! And while I admit there was an INSANE amount of sexual tension between Gabe and Diana it was absolutely PERFECT! Did you see it with Aaron Tveit or Kyle Dean Massey? Another Diana idea: I haven't thought all that much about this one. I'm just kinda t

Although I'm all for color blind casting, I agree that the family needs to b consistent in this case since the show revolves so strongly on the topic of the family. In my opinion it would just seem off if they weren't consistant. Another Diana suggestion: Sherie Renee Scott. She played Diana in the very original work shop and I think her voice could blow the role out of the water. Random, but does anyone know any information about auditions for the tour?

What Should I See? Apr 6

Promises, Promises and Come Fly Away. First, Kristen Chenoweth. Enough said. She's a musical power house that I'm absolutely dying to someday see live. Second, I saw Movin' Out when it was on Broadway and it's just such an amazing experience. So moving and it's just a completely different side of theater that isn't seen that often or even appreciated quite as much - dance. And I love it when dance tells a story. So yah, my suggestions :)

Have to say, I'm enjoying this thread! Although it does make me feel somewhat pathetic... No offense!! My number one is without a doubt the immensely talented Aaron Tveit! And his incredible voice tops it all off. I could die listening to that falsetto (sorry if I spelt that wrong...)
