I just listened to all of it -- it is now so late! Love the music and performances-- I can see it getting best score now that I hear it.

Any Word on PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE?
 Mar 20 2011, 07:48:12 PM
Liotte, can you describe the music from the reading you witnessed? In a video on the Roundabout site, Donna describes it as one of the most beautiful scores she has ever heard.
Any Word on PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE?
 Mar 20 2011, 04:48:15 PM
I have read so much about most of the other musicals opening before the Tony cut-off date, but THE PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE remains a little bit of an unknown player in the field. Has anyone heard anything (besides the cast, the story-line and the creators) about this musical? It sounds like it could be interesting and different from everything else out there.
Charlie Sheen at Radio City Music Hall?
 Mar 16 2011, 08:46:53 PM
The people at SPIDERMAN are missing a sure thing by not nabbing Charlie to play a new villain in their revised script. Who could resist seeing Mr. Sheen flying over their heads singing the new eleven o'clock number "Winning".
Charlie Sheen at Radio City Music Hall?

http://www.playbill.com/playblog/2011/03/charlie-sheen-adds-datesvenues-to-tour-including-radio-city-music-hall/?sms_ss=twitter&at_ Anyone have an insight on what Charlie plans to do in his show? It's a pity anyone would actually buy a ticket, even though $1 of each ticket sold goes to Japan relief.
Kathy Griffin to Host the 2011 Tony Awards...If she's asked....

They could guarantee the young audience, and steer more of that demographic to Bdwy in doing so, by having Daniel Radcliffe host.

Jim Parsons Joins NORMAL HEART
 Mar 7 2011, 01:41:30 PM
It seems that my favorite television comedy star, Jim Parsons of The Big Bang Theory, is joining the upcoming THE NORMAL HEART, along with Lee Pace (formerly of Pushing Daisies). http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/03/07/jim-parsons-and-lee-pace-join-cast-of-normal-heart-on-broadway/?src=tptw

KING AND I Revival a possibility
 Feb 16 2011, 07:23:55 PM
According to an article on BWW, there is a possibility that Lincoln Center could bring us a revival of THE KING AND I next year helmed by Bartlett Sher. It sounds like it could be great, so who would be perfect in the leading roles? I could see Kate Baldwin as Anna, but I cannot think of anyone for the King-- any ideas? http://broadwayworld.com/article/RIALTO_CHATTER_Bartlett_Sher_to_Helm_THE_KING_AND_I_at_Lincoln_Center_Next_Season

What are your favorite words of wisdom from a musical?
 Jan 7 2011, 12:07:18 AM
"I don't say I'm no better than anybody else, but I'll be darned if I ain't just as good!" courtesy of Aunt Eller in the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic OKLAHOMA! From the song THE FARMER AND THE COWHAND, and I did have to substitute the word darned for another possibly inappropriate word that was originally used, due to your restrictions of being youth appropriate.

Sondheim Birthday Concert on PBS tonight!
 Nov 25 2010, 12:00:21 AM
I saw this wonderful program tonight on PBS in Missouri, and there were, indeed, pledge breaks. Although I did enjoy listening to Marin Mazzie and Mr. Price talk about the concert, I am upset that so much was omitted because of these breaks. I am staying up to watch the repeat at midnight, though. It was beautiful - especially loved the women in the last half. And then "Sunday", well, it is almost a religious experience. Beautiful.

Happy Birthday to Angela Lansbury!

They just don't make them like her anymore -- she is a truly classy lady. Found this song on Y/T, appropriately by Jerry Herman, and it is a wonderful tribute to the beautiful Ms. Lansbury http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLBL68so8ec&feature=player_embedded#!
