Not every show does get a standing ovation mid performance. On Friday, I saw Sunset Blvd and neither of Nicole’s numbers received standing ovations. Patti did not receive a standing ovation for TLWL when I saw Company. Prolonged? Yes, but not standing. Audra’s standing ovation mid-show is unique for me, so I felt it was interesting to state.

I was at last night’s performance and the energy in the theatre was palpable. Absolutely insane. I’ve never been a part of such a reactive audience.

I felt Audra was everything I could possibly need in a Mama Rose. Tyrannical and overbearing while also vulnerable and broken. She didn’t really slip into her operatic voice at any point besides the end of “Everything’s Coming Up Roses” and “Rose’s Turn”, which (as a previous p

I hate to be that guy, but do we know the timeline for how long it should take Audra et al to recover. I know that nobody can read the future, but if those familiar with the current cold/flu/virus which is going around could chime in, that would be appreciated.

So did LuPone.

I’d like to add Heather Headley to the list of potential Rose alternates.

We need to soundproof the theatres

This isn't an issue with the theaters, this is an issue with the pedicabs. The city of New York should be passing a law on these a-holes.

Considering her attendance record, that shouldn't be an issue.

Any word on the next Toby, following Gaten Matarazzo’s departure? I’ll be seeing the show Veterans Day Weekend and am incredibly curious.

Can't help but think of Sherie Rene Scott. That would be a magnificent return to Broadway for her!
