2006 revivals Dec 30
2005, 01:37:41 PM
I am pretty sure there has been some talk about doing it, but I think 2006 is the year....PIPPIN REVIVAL! One of my favorite shows ever, and I think it is time it comes back to broadway! Anyone else agree, or have any shows they want to see in 2006?

"I'm curious to know where everyone has seen the film with a packed theater." Twice in a little town in FL. Yeah, it was packed...and people loved it! I am so proud of my little town, they are coming along quite nicely! Haha.

I LOVED it! I loved it for the exact reasons you didn't. I thought the staginess of it is what made it wonderful! It felt like you were watching a play on screen....what's wrong with that? Like newgirl said- It was reminicent of the old movie musicals, like Guys and Dolls, and Singin in the Rain. If you watch those, they are very stagey as well. Anyways, I guess that is why they make a lot of different kinds of movies...you can't always please everyone! For what it's worth, everyone els

Running, or any cardio, is the best way to lose weight, in my opinion. You just have to be consistant

Do NOT listen to wonderboy! You can't restrict yourself that much, it only ends in disaster...I would know. Try adding a morning jog to your day, drink lots of water, and get lots of sleep! It works.

re: So...after rehearsal we could..... Dec 24

The theatre we do our shows at is right down town, on the square, and it is kind of tradition that in between matinee and evening we would go out on to the square and do little impromptu performances and earn a little cash, haha. We would also get some last minute ticket sales then too!

re: Belt it out! Dec 23
2005, 07:29:58 PM
Alright NY...I don't know about the rest of these people but I wasn't talking about actual belting, though there is a correct way to belt that will not damage your chords. I was mainly using it as a figure of speech, you know, when you just bust out in song, you "belt". And I think the feel we were also trying to go for was when you are home alone and you just let it out, just for fun, to get out stress, whatever. Thank you for that little lesson of yours, but I think we're ok. Merry
