DEATH BECOMES HER To Close on Broadway June 28, 2026 May 18 2026, 03:51:38 PM
Jumpin_J said: "I don't know why the article doesn't mention the capitalization of the show or the weekly running costs as a factor. It's a big show in every aspect which requires a high weekly to keep it running. Even at $1M per week, they couldn't be clearing more than $150K-200 a week. Without Tony Awards, it was doomed."

DEATH BECOMES HER To Close on Broadway June 28, 2026 May 18 2026, 01:12:42 PM
At first it surprised that the show was a hit and then they did do anything to stop the bleeding, funny thing.
I got luck to see the entire original cast and had a blast, it just is a big funny comedy and Hilty was especially amazing.

DRAMA DESK AWARD NOMINEES 2026 May 17 2026, 10:22:11 PM
Not Lear deBessonet winning all 3 direction awards even one against Cats. Omg, can she win the Tony?
Ben Levi Ross Also won here!

Loved that Mexodus beat all Broadway musicals.
Also, worried about Cats!

I actually think Ragtime can win for Nichelle but not Ben, feels so much Like DeShields’ to lose

Mindelle is probably the only person who has a chance to pull off an upset. Especially since it looks less and less likely that Titanique will be able to win Book, so some voters who are fans may reward her here. But I still think Ragtime is just so popular and Levy is singing the hell out of the score. It feels like an easy call for Mother."
Levy is also a veteran of stage.

Who's taking Leading Actress in a Musical this year? May 14 2026, 01:16:40 PM
I think this is Levy’s to lose and it’s not even close.
I personally think her performance is great, very ground, such a beautiful presence and her barefoot ‘’Back to Before’’ brought me to tears.
I would rank:
1. Caissie Levy, Ragtime
2. Marla Mindelle, Titanique
3. Stephanie Hsu, The Rocky Horror Show
4.&nbs

I too think if she was in Featured, the Tony could very well be hers.

MEXODUS to Return to NYC at the Daryl Roth May 12 2026, 05:31:34 PM
Clever, brilliant in many moments and with 2 artistas absolutely immersed in this project from top to bottom, I really loved it!

RAGTIME 2025 Reviews May 12 2026, 05:23:01 PM
Is this groundbreaking for a RAGTIME production? Nope, but still hit hard.
Lear deBessonet just knew how to stage those scenes and effortless took direction to create images without a single thing (hyperbole!) on that stage. I kept looking how things were being managed and felt like it's a very clever part of the production this direction. I know many people didn't liked that, but I dig hard.
The cast? Probably my favorite of all of these musicals. The 5 actors nominated

25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee Revi(Off-Broadway, New World Stages) May 12 2026, 05:15:25 PM
Loved this production, I love the show, it's fun, clever and heartfelting.
The cast is amazing but Jasmine was out of this world, couldn't believe that was the same actress that did ''Boop'' and her voice felt... especial, you know?
My friend was a speller, he loved it!

NYT: ‘Well, I’ll Let You Go’ Review: A Fog of Grief (Critic's Pick) May 12 2026, 05:12:45 PM
I liked Quincy Tyler Bernstein A LOT, there's one moment that she screams ''nothing'' that absolutely wrecked me.
But I don't like these narrators in plays that almost tells you how to feels, so the play never felt great to me.
Also, the second to last character to appear felt really wrong in the play context.
Overall a 3 stars play but never really shined to me.

KENREX - Previews & Reviews 4/26 (Lucille Lortel Theatre, Off-Broadway) May 12 2026, 05:07:45 PM
Easily the best acting I've seen during this trip, Jack Holden was that great, that mic scene when there are like 5 of them together is just a feat ot its own when it comes to acting.
It's physical but never shallow, it's somehow haunting even when it is not.
It stuck with me because it's a very sad story, and they way it's done gets you too much.
The lightning, the music... everything is A+, don't miss.
Also, I'm translating his ot

TWO STRANGERS (CARRY A CAKE ACROSS NEW YORK) Reviews May 12 2026, 05:03:39 PM
The one thing I liked about this are the two actors, Sam in particular was very charming and tried his best to bring more layers to the character, Pitts did the same and what a way she has been since King Kong.
I think I like her solos better, but the score is kinda bland as a whole.
The book works better as romance than when tries to talk about rejection, but at least they were trying... I guess?
One thing I was not in love was the direction, it felt most numbers they we

THE BALUSTERS Reviews May 12 2026, 04:36:52 PM
I think it's the least interesting work I've seen from David Lindsay-Abaire but still very entertaining.
I very american play discussing themes that goes from racism, elitism and gender. Some ways to create a laugh are questionable, but I did laugh a lot so what can I say LOL
Anika Noni Rose is a centered human being that brings a quality that not every actress have, she has peace and war at the same time with so little changes in her body/face.
Burke was a laugh
