I'm with J'aime GG on the whole nightmare thing.

I am still shaking and will never ever bring a camera even into the city again.

..oh wait, they're doing that 8 times a week.

When does the box office open on Saturdays and Sundays? Has anyone gone on Saturday recently and could inform of the time that they showed up & how many people were there?

Thanks!

sorta sounds like a form of Hamlet 2...without Sexy Jesus, roller skates, and Amy Poehler.

I'll watch.

Kate-Monster I don't want to be critical but isn't it safe to say that Shawn Johnson went through the same "childhood and teenage years vigourously training to flip-flop around and hurl herself through the air."

I mean all those gymnists (spelling?) could probably beat anyone of us up, while maintaining a split position and sticking their landing so why are we being so critical about "flaws" that we, non-Olympians, see?

On that obtuse note...I love Keri Strug too.

Elle Woods must be able to dance in high heeled pink boots on cobblestone.

Not only does Elle Woods have to be able to dance in high heeled pink boots that don't fit, in 40 degree weather, on cobblestone...but Laura Bell does it 8 times a week.

In response to: 1) Seth Rudetsky is God. He may just be the Chuck Norris of musical theater!

Seth Rudetsky can kill anyone with piano pedals and his only sport coat.

Of the 400 LB threads posted in the last 48 hours, this thread is by far the best.

Now I am a fan of Autumn.
I am a fan of Bailey.
I am also a fan of Kristin Chenoweth.
I am also a fan of Laura Bell Bundy.

And yes, I'm getting to my point.

It's been said on this thread that Bailey's accent is going to throw her off the block. HOWEVER. How come not many complained about Cheno and Bundy's Southern twang that found it's way in to the Gershwin? It didn't cause their performances to bomb but last I checked, they don't have bubble vehicles in Oklahoma

Sondheim for....oh wait...

and Rylance for making me say, "He totes just did that."

re: Best/Worst Performance at the Tony's?
 Jun 16 2008, 12:35:01 AM
I will say thank you very much to Patti for getting the show going (since Whoopi was having trouble) and for receiving the only standing o all night...I believe...

In The Heights was a very very close second.

And hooo rah for whomever seconded the idea of a South Pacific medley. KUDOS!!

And I hate to "award" a worst performance but I was sorta bummed with the hoopla that turned to blah of Rent. They sounded fantastic but I guess I just had my hopes to high.

I agree inlovewithjerryherman (brava on THAT name). I thought that Kritzer blew that song up and the filming was a bit different than previous numbers on TBD. Can she become a regular? I'll stay tuned....okay, I'll stay tuned regardless...
