I tried... Jan 17

I saw the original film version a zillion times. I'm in Atlanta so saw the original musical version while in development at Alliance theatre. I was enthralled by it so I went back a few times. But the absolute best version was the revival. I saw it on Broadway with Jennifer Hudson and Cynthia Erivo and was absolutely blown away. That was such a rush. Stellar!

The soundtrack is supposed to be streaming now, but on Itunes its only available as singular songs and not the entire album. Perhaps it is forthcoming. There are a bunch of "dance remixes" of songs, which seem a little different. I hope this film is good!

The Prom performs on GMA/and online "comments" Jan 5
2019, 09:58:26 AM
The cast of The Prom recently performed "It's Time To Dance" on Good Morning America. It was such a fun performance! (video below). Sadly there are a lot of hateful messages on GMA's facebook page regarding the "kiss". The uproar is so silly. Anyway, if you love the show some positivity on GMA's FB post of the video would be awesome.
The Broadwayworld.com post of the performance is here:

There are a few videos online of when the show was in tryouts/development in ATL, Emma's girlfriend was a blonde girl at that time. Perhaps that's what you saw?

N2N is one of my favorite shows. It's definitely not light fare, but its engrossing and deals with a family's *truth* without excuses.

I saw the show last week. It’s a blast, so glad to see something *original* for once. The kids definitely have some great moves.

What's with the hatred of Cats? Jan 27

I thought it was dreadfully boring. I fell asleep, and eventually walked out. Its the only time I've done that @ a Broadway show. It wasn't bad, just not my cup of tea.

Changes Jan 27

I've seen original a few times, including during "development" in Atlanta @ Alliance. I liked it a whole lot. I'm seeing the revival next month. Besides scaling back on the sets, I heard they cut out the "Africa" scene. But from what I just read here, all of the songs are intact. So its not necessarily shorter? So excited to see how the show has changed.
