Nov 1 can't come soon enough. I am hoping the story is more coherent this time, and there are proper "sets" and not the scaffolding / minimalistic sort of set from DC.  I know that performance was somewhat impromptu, so I'm sure this will be an upgrade.  For those going to the first previews, please enjoy. 

I hope this is much improved from the workshop/development production in ATL quite a few years ago.

Yeah this is very niche market, almost art house genre film. That plus it's budget was only 30M.   It's definitely not The Avengers and won't draw big audiences or $.  I just hold the stage show near and dear, and hope they do it even half justice.  Fingers crossed.

HUh?  It doesn't open until Friday 10/10 although some theaters seem to have first public screenings tomorrow. Thre are NO box office returns on movies that have not even opened yet.

Yesssss....they don't even feel like the same show.  The first clips had me wondering if the video was mis-labeled. They don't feel KOTSW.  Yuck!

The soundtrack in its entirety has dropped on itunes.  Color me pleasantly surprised!  It sounds quite nice.

I don't think there would have beenmuch of a reaction. How many of those book songs count among people's favorites? But as has already been pointed out, the film of Cabaret is more it's own thing than a Broadway-to-Hollywood adaptation."

 

There is an early screening in Palm Springs tonight and one soon in NYC. Hopefully feedback will be shared. 

I like this a lot more than ONIB.   Sounds great!

I attended the show last Saturday and it was much better than expected.  They seem to have paid attention to feedback.

Katie Rose Clark was phenomenal!  She was just amazing.  We were on front row so I chatted with the conductor some (Kimberly Grigsby) who was a hoot! 

Tonight is the official opening, I suppose the reviews will drop shortly. 

I guess official opening is this Friday.  Is anyone going then or right before? Curious as to the changes.  Have fun!
