'CATS: The Jellicle Ball' at PAC reviews

Thanks for this, phan24.Is it worth the extra $50 to go for rows BB/CC vs. DD/EE?
"

No not worth it, in fact I think it’s best to be on DD/EE. The creative team sat around EE106 and that’s probably the best seats IMO.

Coming out of Bwayworld retirement just to say that this is probably the best theatrical experience currently running in NY and I cannot wait to see it again. Truly genius and exciting!

Spotted LMM in the audience last night and he was having a ball.

I’d recommend sitting on the sides of the catwalk, closer to the orchestra.

The show is closing May 5th, if you really want to see it I’d try to get tickets before that.

I saw the first preview and agree that it was a very special play, with great performances but most importantly great writing. Highly recommend it!

Beetlejuice casting

From what I’ve heard and can share, Alex Brightman is returning and Lydia will be played by a brand new actress (not Sophia or Presley), she’s been on Broadway before as a child actor.

Haven’t seen this new production, but just to clarify, Albus and Scorpius are more romantically motivated to be with each other now? That’s a pretty big and

I found this photo posted on IG last night, it does look like Amra Faye is on and someone that’s not Anna, assume it’s Dylis as mentioned above, crazy that no one else mentioned it prior to tonight.

SLAVE PLAY 2021 Previews
 Nov 24 2021, 12:28:00 PM

First preview was good, the new actors totally bring their own nuance and choices to the roles and I didn’t feel like I missed anything having seen it with the OBC.

I do have one big complaint, it was SO HARD to hear the actors, I wanted to go get a hearing aid because I probably heard 70% of the script. Thankfully knowing the show prior made it manageable. I sat in the mezzanine for what it’s worth.

I hope someone from the production sees this and tries to amplify t

Just noting here that there was no invited dress rehearsal for this show, so tomorrow’s first preview will be their first time back with an audience.

From sources, it cost Netflix a whopping $10 million between the rights and actual filming, and thus far one of their biggest flops (from Netflix’s internal proprietary measure on engagement)

Yeah, definitely distracting while the show was going on.

At least no flash photography today as I'd seen at other shows this week.

No, that’s from the left mezzanine and only after the show ended. The person recording DURING the show was sitting on a box house right, it was a bit distracting.

Amazing night today!

James was good, some missed quick cues but he’s in good shape overall and will continue fine tuning the role.

Pearl was good as well, great voice.
