Kennedy Center ticket sales have dramatically plummeted since Trump takeover Nov 9

By contrast, happy to say that Damn Yankees was sold out during my performance yesterday. The arts are still thriving in DC…but I’m not touching the Kennedy Center until that asshat is gone.

I’d actually say house left/stage right because of the massive entry way and the dinner scene. It won’t matter much either way, but I’d say more action happens there.

Ah, yes, almost no one looks up p*rn on the internet anymore. *rolls eyes* I can't tell if you don't know what the world is like today or if you don't actually get the joke of the song. You could say about Company what you say about Avenue Q, actually. It's about reaching maturity in a New York City that no longer exists. And? How does that relate to it still being funny and revivalable. I'd say the experience of having no money because you are just starting out,

How do I put this lightly as a millennial…let me give it a shot: I WILL f**kING CUT YOU IF YOU GO AFTER THIS REVIVAL!
…but I digress, we are all entitled to our opinions 😌

It’s a very good play, albeit a little pedantic. That said: It’s not beating Giant.

This will not sell-out, at least not until opening, but even then unlikely. I’d wait until the box office opens and, at the very least, save on fees.

I thought the opposite. It’s a very short run leaving room for a late spring transfer.

Ariana DeBose to lead THE BAKER'S WIFE at Classic Stage Company Oct 25

It's very charming. They've thrown what looks like a lot of money into it. It's the most set I've seen at a CSC show. And 9 musicians in the pit is the most I've seen/heard over there. (I think Passion might have had 9?) They even had a couple of merch items.
The ensemble is incredibly strong. One of the problems with this piece is that it's called The Baker's Wife, but it's about the townspeop

Jamie Lloyd-helmed EVITA revival to play the London Palladium in 2025 Oct 24

I think the problem is that the director Jamie Lloyd (aside from not understanding the material and texts) lacks any form of class and maturity. The things that he thinks are “cool” are embarrassing to most adults...

There are charges that can be brought against her. I hope his team is considering it, if for no other reason than to get a restraining order.

Of course it’s just a preference, but I now come in from Philly (Go Birds 🦅!) and it really doesn’t make a difference to me. I did a half-day last weekend to see the Kentridge piece at Powerhouse Arts in Brooklyn (great venue and amazing piece, btw), and thought nothing of it. I’m relatively younger, I suspect, than the groups you’re citing and also have no issue taking the train, which I did to and fro.

When I saw this at the Royal Court, it was 20 pounds per ticket. When I went to the pro-shoot performance on the West end...tickets were in the 300 pound range! Lucked out and got a center orchestra seat that happened to be near a camera for 130. Loved it even more the second time,

And while Dahl might not be quite as beloved here, he’s pretty darn beloved. And Lithgow is personally beloved by almost everyone who works with him.
And this is kind of what makes the play great. I have no real love or knowledge of Dahl, except for the original Wonka movie (Mexican-American here, clearly not a Brit), but I was enthralled from beginning to end! I suspect if you read his books…one of which is discussed at certain length in the play&hellip
