Can't tell what's more bizzare: that wig or that bunny outfit
Muny's Legally Blonde Production Photos
the awful top of the bunny outfit is only trumped by the really awful sets.
I wonder how they are dealing with "Whipped Into Shape".. since they have Nikki Snelson, I would assume they are doing the original choreography for that one!
And it's definitely the bunny outfit.. Really?!

I mean... the MUNY is outside, I don't know how detailed they usually get with their sets, but I would imagine they could be destroyed in an instant because of rain or any type of weather.
^ The program says that they're using Jerry Mitchel's direction and choreography.
Those sets and costumes look awful.
This makes me even more excited to see what their production of The Little Mermaid will look like.
I think they actually look pretty good for the Muny. Their sets and costumes are usually way worse than that.
the sets look like they were colored in with crayon by an 8 year old.

I think we have this same conversation every year. Muny's sets are TERRIBLE.

Who cares about the sets and costumes- it's all about Colt Prattes-woof!!!!!! They could have no set at the MUNY and the show will still make a fortune provided it doesn't rain.
Last year's conversation, apparently

"WTF MUNY"

Are you crazy!?! If it rained he'd get wet and they'd make even more money.

Colt Prattes is a stud.
The sets need to read in a theatre that seats 12,000... not 1,000..
The costumes are rented.. and ick.
Lauren Ashley Zakrin looks awful here. That wig......

What makes these costumes even worse is that Elle is supposed to be very fashionable.
I'm sure it's been said, but wouldn't this just be a question of perspective? The shots are taking really close up, but that theater is ginormous.
Hello, Colt Prattes. Jordan wants you to come over to his house tonight. He has a surprise for you...
D.B. Bonds and Colt Prattes... that was nice. Imagine D.B. Bonds' face on Colt Prattes' bod?
Unfortunately, everything else was terrible especially Paulette's costume. God awful. The sets look like a 4th grader drew it.
Seriously, who designs those sets?

Well this is just....unfortunate is the only word that comes to mind.
As it has been explained over and over- the sets need to read in that ENORMOUS space. They're not meant to be seen in close-up.

But Kad, it doesn't look good photographed 2 ft a way in a high resolution photograph, so CLEARLY it means they suck and can't build / design sets properly. DUH.
:)
Frankly, I didn't even notice there were sets behind Colt Prattes. As for costumes... you mean the annoying things covering up Colt Prattes?
