Where's Merman when you need her? Anyone remember Elaine Stritch's story from At Liberty? An obnoxious drunk guy in the audience kept interrupting Merman, who was in mid-song. She marched off the stage, hauled the guy out of his seat, took him up the aisle and out into the street, before returning to the stage and finishing her song.

Our of curiosity, does Feinstein's allow patrons to record performances there on their phones, or were you ignoring the rules? If they allow it, I won't be going there anytime soon. I hate it when I am trying to watch a performance and am looking at multiple glowing phones of people who can't simply sit and enjoy the moment but feel they have to record the show, without permission from the performers or the venue.

I was dreaming of getting to see Patti sing The Ladies Who Lunch. Did they really need to close the theatre? If that virus had dared to enter, Patti could have screamed at it, stopped the show, and had an usher escort it back to China.

A tad overdone to me, and she seems to be struggling with the low notes. My first time hearing this was in the concert version of Follies at Lincoln Centre, with Barbara Cook, and her much simpler yet devastating version will always by my favourite--a reminder of what a great singer can accomplish just standing still.

Stanley Tucci in Frankie and Johnny. I heard later that the actress who was on stage with him (Edie something) was also naked, but my attention was on the impressively toned Stanley and his tucci, and on how soon I could book a flight to Italy.I also loved Jake Gyllenhaal's 20-minute shower scene in Sunday in the Park with George (at least that's what I've been telling friends who missed it)
