I haven’t come across any comments about Ms. LuPone’s 54 Below dates. Has anyone been?

Edit: I did find the BWW review from 12/22 but would love to hear if anyone else has been and how she sounded.

Saw her show on Tuesday the 27th --- she was fantastic, in great voice and great spirits.

Just as feisty and sassy as you'd expect,  but also very warm and tender during a few torch songs and personal moments she treated us to.

Highlights on this night (for me) were The Ladies Who Lunch, I Regret Everything, Small World/Some People from Gypsy, and Santa Lost a Ho

You can tell she really loves performing at this venue, and the close interaction with the audience.  And the audience ate up every moment.  Never pass up an opportunity to see her at the venue.

Thanks so much! Just as I hoped. I’m not in NYC until March unfortunately but definitely will be live-streaming the show on new year’s day.

Might be too late for you but: this was my first time seeing Patti in concert. I thought she was wonderful. Seeing her sing Don't Cry for Me Argentina and Meadowlark live was pretty incredible. She also did three songs from West Side Story (A Boy Like That, Something's Coming, and I believe Somewhere) and a few holiday songs in the middle. I thought Christmas in the trenches was very touching. She choked up at the end and had tears in her eyes during many of the songs.

There were very few anecdotes; she really packed as many songs as she could. Presumably because there was another show right after hers.

I didn't catch the live stream but I'm curious what songs got pulled!

We really enjoyed the livestream last night. The Christmas tunes were great and her comedic numbers were outstanding. She was a little pitchy in a few of the bigger tunes with sustained notes. Nothing from WSS was performed last night, nor was Don’t Cry for me Argentina. Highlights for me were Love Me Tender, Fever, Meadowlark, I Could Write a Book, Calling You, How to Handle a Woman, So in Love, and Christmas in the Trenches. Like I said, we also loved the comedic numbers but I don’t remember any of their titles - one of them was an Edith Piaf tune and she slayed it!

She sang for right around 85 minutes, including the encore and seemed in great spirits throughout. Not a whole bunch of storytelling, but so much fun seeing this grand lady do her thing!

I streamed as well and was grateful that we had the chance since I couldn't get to New York for it. I enjoyed it a lot, and was great to at least see what she was doing in the venue. I wish she had slowed down a bit as it felt a little rushed, from one song to the next with little commentary. I would have liked more about what these songs meant to her and why they were in her hat. She seemed to be trying to get as many songs in as possible, so it sort of felt at times like she had a train to catch. The format of random songs to me doesn't work as well as a structured show where they have grouped certain songs together for a reason, or where she might have been able to offer a tribute to Sondheim and memories of him before doing a few tunes, though I was grateful she did Anyone can Whistle, one of my favorites. Was disappointed the crowd didn't applaud longer and louder at end and demand another encore. They gave up applauding strangely early for a Lupone concert. So we got only one encore. Yes, she was offkey a few  times, which I hadn't heard from her before. I wondered if it was my imagination. But she was in great form in many of the tunes, so I was glad to have had the chance.

I streamed it last night and that was the best $40 I've spent! 54 Below needs to do more streams of their shows. Patti still has it! I lost it when she said, "this is a non-equity show". The audience screamed hallelujah when she said that! I was hoping for "Ladies Who Lunch" but she sang "Another Hundred People" and that was enough! Overall, she slayed this performance and I hope she does more concerts, not just at 54 Below, but all over the place! I would sell my soul to see her on stage again!

The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince

She has a bunch of dates across the country February through April.  I noted a dates in Palm Desert & Costa Mesa, California in February.   Check her website.

We noticed a little bit of pitchiness as well, most prominently in Another Hundred People, which was the first song she pulled out, though overall it didn't detract from the show too much.  Though I wonder if it's because this was her 10th show doing this.  Like she's done 8 shows a week on Broadway, but I don't think she's done just 80 minutes of straight singing all that much recently.

Ending on Meadowlark (before the encore) was absolutely fantastic, but I also enjoyed the comedic songs a lot as well.  The Edith Piaf number was I Regret Everything, which was superbly acted too, and both Santa Lost a Ho and Christmas in the Trenches were great picks.  And I liked that she had Fever, Love Me Tender, and Moon River in the hat as well.

I sort of strong-armed my family and a few friends into watching it, and all were fairly impressed so I think she may have some new fans.

We also watched the live stream, and agree that the comedic songs and Christmas tunes were the real gems of the night performance-wise. She's a delight. I saw her in Company 3 times, one being right after she had Covid, and she was never pitchy and always nailed it, so I was surprised by some pitchiness, too. I noticed her coughing a few times, so I found myself wondering if she had a cold or allergies that were affecting her instrument. However she is the consummate performer and made sure to put on a great show.

I also loved the livestream. She will be on Long Island at the Tilles Center in March.
