It needs to be able to be taken out of context and still make sense though, and it can be comical or serious. It would have to be friendly to all ages with subject matter, too. I have all my posters and pictures related to musicals and theatre arranged in shapes on my wall, like music notes or comedy/ tragedy masks ( it does look like it, I swear! ) . I suppose you could do the same for playbills.

Sorry if there is already a thread about this.. I couldn't find any. What are some songs involving determination or being dead set on achieving a certain goal? It can be totally out of context, It doesn't matter to me. So far I have 'Rose's Turn' and 'Everything's Coming Up Roses' from GYPSY

The first time I saw Michael Ball on youtube, I recognized him from something.. I googled him, and I didn't find anything that helped. I feel like he must have been on some kid's show or something because I feel I've seen him in something non-theater related, but not a movie because I don't really watch any of the T.V. shows he has been in.. can anyone help? Know of any Michael Ball look-a-likes?

There was a debate in my musical theatre workshop today on how Far from the Home I Love - FIDDLER ON THE ROOF should be interpreted. One person argued that the song should be sung as Hodel was frustrated, especially in the beginning line : "How can I hope to make you understand why I do what I do?"
