I'm just crushed. I know it sounds silly, but I've been crying ever since I heard it. Commiserating with online fans. Been a fan since Mame and followed her career ever since. Only saw her on stage once (for her Gypsy tour), but am grateful for that. I kept hoping there was one more big role in her future, but Father Time won out. Someone as multi-talented as Angela comes along once in a great while. One of the last great stars of stage and screen. R.I.P. I'll miss you!

Yes, I remember when that book came out. (Alas, long before Amazon came into being). I never found a copy locally. WIsh I could find a copy now.

Thanks for the info. Yes, I think the opening night was postponed a few times. I have the OCR and the big production numbers seem so out of place. Love the ballads, though.

Did you see Angela in Dear World?

I remember her many appearances on The Tonight Show and game shows back in the 60s and 70s. Very funny, talented lady. The Paper Mill recording is my favorite recording of Follies.R.I.P.

As a narrative of what goes on behind the scenes of a film production, I found it interesting enough. And, as you pointed out it was short!

I think the Hellinger in its later years had problems attracting long run shows (aside from Sugar Babies). I think that's one of the reasons the theater was leased, then sold to the Church that owns it now.
