I didn't see this on Broadway but I was under the impression that the character of Marian Halcombe was the "leading lady". But the media seems to focus on Anna O'Byrne as Laura Fairlie.

Yes it did air on PBS and it's the same production that aired on PBS. Very little has been changed since this is ALW's vanity project.

Michael has said that after he did Phantom in London, he didn't want to replace again. He likes the freedom of originating roles. I don't know if he's changed his mind considering he's done Prince of Broadway, however that wasn't an exact recreation of all the shows.

Hmm, more importantly, when's the new Phantom being announced? Phantom Bway's social media seems to be posting rows of photos on Instagram, but not posting them all at once, so for a couple days the most recent post was just Raoul's arm.

Ramin had an alternate/standby who went on once a week for LND London, Tam Mutu (who was also a Raoul understudy, I think). When he was Phantom in London, he also had his standby going on at least once a week.

Don't be surprised if more stories about Broadway leading men come out soon.

Also there's Roman Polanski who was behind Dance of the Vampires, and Woody Allen who was behind Bullets Over Broadway.

I'm so proud of Anthony for being brave enough to share his story. Hopefully the members of the Broadway community will take a hard look at themselves in the mirror and stop excusing sexual assault/pedophilia/rape because people are talented. If the Academy can expel Weinstein, hopefully men like Kevin Spacey can be expelled from Equity.
