There's something really wrong with Rapp. I don't buy it for a second. He's clearly taking advantage of current events without considering the consequences.

?????? ....what the hell are you talking about?!
Good for Anthony for publicly speaking about this.

How do you know that? Seems like a random thing to make up.

Are you f*cking kidding me? This why victims don't come forward. Get out of here.

Also, according to Twitter, there were stories like Anthony. Shame on you for victim blaming
I’ve heard that Rapp is a really strange (and in some stories, truly terrible) guy, but I’ll take his word on this one.
Also, wasn’t there a whole thread about Spacey’s history as a sexual bully this past May/June when he was announced as the Tonys host? Hate to say it, but is this really news?
In our millions, in our billions, we are most powerful when we stand together. TW4C unwaveringly joins the worldwide masses, for we know our liberation is inseparably bound.

Hey, remember when it was announced Kevin Spacey was hosting the Tonys, and there was a thread where some people said he was a sleaze and it was inappropriate, and people defended him by saying his private life wasn't our business and we were wrong for outing him? Hope those people who defended Spacey are proud of themselves today.
And blaxx is a monster. Anthony Rapp isn't the only one.

he has no memory of ever telling his mother about it, either. For Rapp, if he had told her right away, it would have meant a larger discussion about his own sexual orientation at 14, and he wasn't ready to do that.

Outing a closeted person is not the same thing as sweeping pedophilia under the rug.
I've also heard odd stories on Rapp, but I will never not accept the word of a victim. If it's proven to be false, he can burn in hell for setting all rape victims back...but until that happens, I'll believe him.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

As I recall, the thread made mention of Kevin Spacey using his power and fame to prey on younger men. No one brought up underage victims, but again, people were more concerned with us outing Spacey than they were about his inappropriate actions. I wonder how those defense posts hold up in a post-Weinstein world.

If I'm not mistaken, Anthony mentioned this (without naming Kevin) in his memoir- saying a successful actor assaulted him? Or molested him? I definitely remember wondering who it was as I read the book years ago...
Thread's here, for context: https://forum.broadwayworld.com/readmessage.php?thread=1100611#4921587. The conversation mainly revolved around the ethics of celebrities staying in the closet. If I'm remembering correctly, I was one of very few who brought up the accusations floating around against Spacey. No one brought up underage victims because, at least in my case, I didn't know there were any. Everything I'd seen in the past about Spacey's abuses revolved around him preying on significantly younger (but still of age) men he was in a position of power over.
I am glad that Rapp has come forward, on the record, to openly and explicitly expose Spacey. I hope that in the next few months we continue to see abusers in the entertainment industry brought to light.
All these revelations are causing a lot of soul searching and damage control for reprehensible behavior. We may never see an outright admission of guilt but it has people shaking in their boots.
Wow, this is disgusting. It wasn't "deeply inappropriate drunken behavior," it was assault. And on top of that, what on earth does Rapp's accusation that Spacey is a sexual predator have to do with Spacey's sexuality? He's trying to spin the story to "Spacey comes out" instead of "Spacey sexually assaulted a fourteen-year-old boy."
What an awful thing to happen at such a young age, poor kid. Kevin's response is sincere, and he finally officially came out because of this, so I think we just need to continue to have honest conversations about this kind of abhorrent behavior in the entertainment industry. The people who think Anthony would randomly make this up (for what?) need very serious help. He is a victim for God's sake.
