re: 'Lennon' Closing Notice Soon? Aug 24 2005, 04:05:39 PM
NO NO NO!! It's only the stuff with the OLD Logo on it (the John in the shape of a guitar string) that are out of print!! They had those here in S.F. but then changed to the actualy picture of John's face for New York! AACkk that would be awful, I love this show sooo much and became one of the first of the "Lennonites" while it was in S.F.!!!

The cast had an amazing chemistry the many times I saw it in S.F.. I don't know what has changed to make this seem different but when I saw it they were so supportive of each other singing and all touching and smiling in different scenes, it was really something to watch and it made me want to jump onstage and join them.

re: Is there lip synching in Hairspray? Jul 19 2005, 03:04:29 PM
I hope not! I saw it three times last summer on tour and it seemed all live to me. Besides, isn't that kind of the point of live theater? However in shows like POTO, they have to use lip-synching to get through some of those tricky actor trade-offs they do for all those cool visual effects. And I also hear that Disney is trying to phase out live orchestra's with pre-recorded tracks...which BETTER not be true, otherwise I don't even know what to say about that...

re: Lennon on The Today Show Jul 19 2005, 02:54:28 PM
Well it's not actually like that in the show. At all. It was arranged as a medley for the Today so, so they performed it as such. The read show has so much energy that today's performance was not a good taste of what the show's really like. As you could see on the clip, the performers were antsy with enery and wanted to move around, unfortunately the way they were set up, standing at mics, made them seem very low energy and subdued. I love lennon!!! Saw it four times in San Fra

re: Soulman at Lennon Preview front row on 7/8/05 Jul 9 2005, 03:30:48 AM
Welcome to my life four months ago when I saw it for the first time in San Francisco. Marcy is my life! I love will. Chad does indeed sing high. Chuck is SO cool. I can go on and on about how great the cast it. Mandy is truly amazing as well but they cut her bit in "Real Love" (SUCH a great song that they cut altogether) so she has even less now . LOL Julia Murney was so nice and the whole cast recognized my friends and I who they officially dubbed "The First

re: the opposite...of sex Apr 24 2005, 01:43:30 PM
I saw the show twice in October. It was pretty good, but the cast is what made it outstanding. I asked Karen Ziemba where they were going next on the last day of their run (halloween) and she didn't seem to know, so I feel like the show's kind of dead- or at least on hold- as of now.
