Yesterday I bought a ticket to SIX in between 2 other shows as an afterthought. I was shocked by the performance of Kelsie Watts as Jane Seymour. I haven’t seen any mention of her before, but it was by far the best performance that I have seen in SIX. Here’s a YouTube video of her

She seems fantastic but I do prefer Jasmine Forsberg.
The people I know that have seen the current cast have pretty much told me they have incredible voices, but are unfortunately stiff in the acting department.

Does SIX really require “acting” though. As long as they can belt/emote during their respective song and toss off a few sassy quips, the audience will eat it up. It’s not exactly O’Neill.

I would say yes. The dialogue between songs is very important (not to mention filled with jokes that need to land). Also acting while singing is one of the foundations of great musical theater. The acting can and should elevate the songs.

I would agree with this.
