I was there tonight as well. Lucky to get a rush ticket on TodayTix.
Just tons and tons of fun. A great cast. The updated book is wonderful but it still feels like a classic.
Admittedly I've never actually seen this show so I was happy all around.
Sutton is fantastic and I can often be a little critical of her but she does comedy/physical comedy so well. She was born for this part.

THE OUTSIDERS Broadway Previews
There was a medical emergency tonight and they had to stop the show.
About 25 minutes into the second act I noticed some people out of their seats in the front row and then more getting up and moving about and then a few others coming from a different part of the theater to join them.
The actors were incredible as it looked like they had no idea what was going on because they were in a very serious scene and it took a couple people waving

It's 7:50 and we are still currently in line for the 8:00 p.m. I've heard they are delaying opening the door until 8:00 or 8:10 either because of illness or stage malfunctions.
Luckily the dulcet tones of the random Shakira concert in Times Square are keeping us company.

I suspect Chip will get the only acting nod for Harmony. Even after those reviews, he's a legend playing in his old theater and holds the entire show together.

Not Since Carrie is required reading for any theater fan. It is essentially the bible for flop lovers. It's not just something some guy wrote in a book. As someone said, American Idiot ran a year but did not profit so that's a bad measurement too.
Ken's book is thoroughly researched and his definition is not only well put together with a great deal of care, it is also used as the end-all in most theater circles.

Echoing all of this. Actually I think I disliked the play more than you.
There's not much here and the 'twists' ruin an otherwise ok slice of life play.
Unfortunately the 8pm tonight saw everyone forgetting their lines but Danny has a great way of recovering built into his character and performance.
It was worth the $30 I paid to see him and act alongside his very talented daughter but this was otherwise a waste.

I skipped to the end. Happy to support The Actor's Fund and all but the obvious cue card reading and zoom format alone are enough for me to be done. There's a reason they didn't go too much into how it would be presented.

Was there tonight as well. Agreed with most things stated so far. He's charming and clearly loves what he's doing but it is indeed a bore. I left at intermission.
Didn't have an issue not being able to see the book spine from the back of the mezz as the story was more important than the visual. I wish it was a reflection on his life and career or more of his growing up as the first 15 minutes were lovely.

I am in the enviable position of having 2 tickets to the 2pm Hamilton tomorrow...and I can't use them.
Unfortunately, because I got them through a third party, I can't pick up the tickets until 12 o'clock tomorrow.
I then have about an hour before I have to run to the airport.
Making a little extra money would be a perk. But mostly want to get back what we paid.
Can't list on stubhub and Craigslist seems like flake city. What do I do?

Stage Dooring Differences from B'way to the West End
I've only stage doored in London twice. Sunset Boulevard w/ Glenn Close and Elephant Man with Bradley Cooper. Both times were mobbed with fans, but they took time to sign and talk to each person.

I not only disliked, but hated the production at New World Stages.
I'm sick of people trying to make this show work.
Even if it improves after another 20 rewrites, there is no audience outside of small limited-run productions.
