Chewy5000, I agree that 'All I Need Is The Girl' is a great scene. I saw the BP revival in 2004 and Tulsa was NPH's partner, David Burtka and Louise was Tammy Blanchard, both Broadway debuts. It's the first time we see Louise happy and it builds and builds to the joyous duet of Tulsa and Louise singing and dancing with really great choreograpy. Every time I listen to it on the cast album, I can visualize them onstage.

Curtainpuller... you are so right. Evans would be a perfect bit of casting, even if it hints at stunt casting. The man was in the original production, has done the adult role and it would be so perfect for him to do this. We know he has the dancing and singing chops for it. I, too, saw the '95 Company and the whole cast was so open and friendly. When I saw Veanne after La Cage last year, I mentioned how much I enjoyed her Amy in Company and she said 'Aw, you get a hug for that'. Very nice woman.

I don't see the show until Saturday night and, having never seen a stage production, I have been soaking in the positive and negative comments from all of the posters. I don't want my expectations to be too high and your post keeps my expectations at a reasonable level. I, too, will consider taking in the Chicago run as I am in Kansas City and can fairly easily make a weekend of it there.

I went to the Wicked backstage tour two weeks ago and Tony Galde (a swing in Wicked for years and one of the creators of the tour) said his first Broadway job (at 18 or 19) was in Starlight Express and he broke every finger on his right had a one time or another and during one show he broke his left arm. He fell and when he got up, his forearm was just hanging down at this very weird angle. He just skated offstage and was taken to the hospital.

Not really the same thing (and I do miss Chatterbox immensely) but the Broadway softball league games are at the ball fields in Central Park on the west side at about 62nd on Thursdays. Games on 5 fields at 11:30, 1:30 and 3:30. Each diamond has the schedule for the day posted on the home plate fence. I was there last on 5/24 and only Ben Stiller and the actor playing the son came out. Stiller signed many but not all Playbills and the only reason the other actor stopped was because I asked him to sign my program and pose for a picture. He didn't seem very comfortable doing either. The doorman told us that Edie never comes out which was very disappointing because she was the reason I wanted to see the show.

Please tell me they are ordering more pillows or they can be ordered for shipment later. I don't see the show until June 18th. Arrgh! PO'd about the Playbill also. They should know how many Playbills to order by the ticket sales, no?

I saw the show last Sunday and the only celeb. I saw was Larry Kramer himself. It was a pleasure to be able to say hi and tell him how much admiration I have for him and how relevant his play has remained. Getting doused with a little milk from the scene near the end only made the scene that much more immediate and involving to me.

In 1995, I saw the Roundabout production of Company at a matinee and Charlotte d'Amboise was out and I guess they had no dancing stand-by/understudy for the role of Kathy so they cut a dance number out of the performance. I really felt kind of cheated. Although with the cast they had, I didn't feel too bad. And Paul in that production was none other than Danny Burstein. Wow, what's the deal with no programs for these successful musicals? It used to be standard practice and I almost always bought one if available. I will be seeing all of these except Sister Act (was under my radar when I filled my slots) on my trip starting on May 21st and will purchase if I can. I guess in these days of cost cutting, the expense of producing them isn't offset by the revenue derived. Too bad, it's the best way to preserve memories of the show.

Does anyone know if the Eisenhower has a stage door that is accessible? Also, if yes, do the actors usually comes out to greet?

Orangeskittles, thanks for the tips. I got the last Orchestra center seat available for the evening performance on June 18th. Row J almost center. I just about pee'd my pants with excitement because I had to go to a weekend performance due to travel and that was the only center seat left during the whole run.

Maybe it was for Roberta Peters----similar stature.

I will also travel east from the midwest to see this production on June 18th. I'm also a Kennedy Center virgin so I'm looking forward to both seeing the show and the interior of the building for the first time.
