I try to get to the theater a couple of times a week - last year I saw 166 shows - Broadway, Off Broadwady, Off Off Broadway & Regional . 40+ of those were at the Fringe Festival last summer. I live in Rhode Island so I can pretty much get myself to any play between Boston and New York. My total is 14 for this year so far.

And my Thanksgiving plans are dwindling away. I had tickets to this next Wednesday and Bobbi Boland that Thursday. The Telecharge refund department is going to get tired of me at this rate.

The booklet is a long folding strip with a show history and plot outline on one side and pictures from the production on the other (about 12 of various sizes). No lyrics but at least the pics are in color.

I picked my CD at the theater when I saw the show on Saturday. I love the album and the five "demo" tracks sung by Menken & Ashman are an interesting look at how the show might have gone (and thankfully didn't).If the discs are pressed and available to the theater - there should be no reason to not ship on time. Larger CD stores (the Virgin, HMV and Towers of the world) will most like have them on release dates while the Book/CD shops (Borders - Barnes & Noble) take extra time to put them out...

Roundabout has always said that it would follow Cabaret into Studio 54. The Tony committe will probably consider it a revival since there have been so many regional productions - the same rule that will keep LSOH out of the running. Unless of course they change their minds...

I had been thinking about this recently as well - what with the proposed remake of the film and all. It would seem the way to do the show is to have a couple of the most familiar songs from the film and some new ones as close to the original as possible (Fans would riot without Candyman and Pure Imagination - though I always loved the one on the Wonka boat - don't remember the name) throw in a fabulous set and a big name for the lead (to keep the producers and tourists happy).
