Posted: 10/18/03 at 4:25pmI think I saw the LSOH CD at Boarders Books and Music last week. Pretty sure I did, anyhow.

Posted: 10/18/03 at 4:31pmDollypop, it probably was the off-broadway one, sorry!
re: re: re: re: re: LSOH CD#5

Hmmmm....interesting. I checked three online stores, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and CD Universe, and they have all pushed back the release date to November 4th. The DRG Records site, however, lists the CD as "on sale now." I went ahead and ordered it from DRG--I'll post when I receive it.

Posted: 10/18/03 at 6:59pmI just got the recording today at the theater, FYI. It's great. Every single song. ::dances::

Posted: 10/18/03 at 7:02pmUgh...I have been waiting for SO long to get this CD, and now to make me wait an additional 2 weeks....NOT COOL.
re: LSOH CD#9
Posted: 10/18/03 at 7:34pmi just checked the drg site and it seems to me that nov 4 isn't the release date, but i could be wrong of course. if the drg record site doesn't say the cd is postponed, don't you think it's the original relase date?
re: re: LSOH CD#10
Posted: 10/19/03 at 12:55amCan anyone tell me how much the CD is at the theatre? I just want to budget so I bring money to get the CD before I go see Millie and have enough money to get a Millie shirt.
re: re: re: re: LSOH CD#12
Posted: 10/19/03 at 11:08amThis is wierd, because Amazon says it will be available on Nov. 4th, but it says I'll get my copy on Oct. 23rd. Hmmmm...

Posted: 10/19/03 at 2:02pmBorders usually won't get their shipment until a week or so after the CD is released. I went to the Borders near me to get the Avenue Q CD on the release date, but when I asked the guy, he said it wouldn't arrive and be put out on shelves until the next week.

Posted: 10/19/03 at 6:44pmQuestion for you guys who have seen the musical and/or already bought the CD at the theatre: Is there a new song by Alan Menken?

Posted: 10/19/03 at 6:45pmWhen will we get an OFFICIAL announcement? Shouldn't they post something on Playbill.com or Bway.com?
re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: LSOH CD#18
Posted: 10/19/03 at 6:56pmNo. They never announce a cast recording release.
re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: LSOH CD#19
Posted: 10/19/03 at 7:42pmI meant if there was a date change.
re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: LSOH CD#20
Posted: 10/20/03 at 5:36amNo, it most likely won't be announced.

Posted: 10/20/03 at 3:33pmJust read that it is still October 21st. DRG wasn't sure that the CD would be ready, but it is. Everyone, take a breath.

I picked my CD at the theater when I saw the show on Saturday. I love the album and the five "demo" tracks sung by Menken & Ashman are an interesting look at how the show might have gone (and thankfully didn't).
If the discs are pressed and available to the theater - there should be no reason to not ship on time. Larger CD stores (the Virgin, HMV and Towers of the world) will most like have them on release dates while the Book/CD shops (Borders - Barnes & Noble) take extra time to put them out - as evidenced by the recent scarcity of the Avenue Q disc.

Does the booklet have the lyrics and plenty of pictures? How is the design of the cd? I am so ANXIOUS to get my hands on this! It is ridiculous. Little Shop was my first musical, and still holds a special place in my heart.
